In the past year or two, with the promotion of the Forestry Bureau, scholars of the Forest Research Institute and non-governmental organizations, "Lishan" has gradually become a well-known word. In fact, according to the three-fold method and five key points put forward by the "Li Shan Initiative", it is not clearly determined that the terraced environment can be in line with the spirit of the "Li Shan Initiative," because the "Li Shan Initiative" emphasizes ways to adapt measures to local conditions and to find ways to implement the Li Shan Initiative in their respective environments. Over the past hundred years, our ancestors' experience in living in the shallow mountains of Yuanli Town, Miaoli County has shaped Taiwan's wisdom in Li Mountain management. The pebble ridges of local materials not only enrich the biodiversity, but also create the beauty of the field; the unique Shenzhen system retains Rain Water for irrigation to solve the local problem of distinct dry and wet seasons, and also create a comfortable microclimate; through composting, the recycling of natural resources, the soil of Fengraoli Mountain; widely used bamboo, local materials and return to the earth! These are all sustainable practices in line with the spirit of the "Li Shan Initiative."
