The Consumer Foundation recently conducted pesticide spot checks on 60 food materials, including beans, coriander, chili peppers, and shiitake mushrooms. Jinri (6pm 9) announced the test results. Two pieces of red beans and one piece of black beans exceeded the standard, and seven samples were found to be within the allowable standard, but four of them detected more than two kinds of pesticides. Cheng Cheng-yung, an honorary professor in the department of horticulture at National Taiwan University, says that "eating pesticides has become a trend." he believes that consumers are calling for the establishment of a system that can trace the source of ingredients in order to change this trend.

Red bean was found to be unrecommended. Black bean pesticide exceeded the standard by a hundred times.
