In recent years, duck products are very popular in the market, and the duck industry is developing very rapidly. However, generally speaking, there will be a phenomenon that supply falls short of demand in the duck market in winter, so it is mainly very troublesome to raise ducks in winter, and if not careful, it will cause huge losses, so many people will relatively reduce the number of ducks raised in winter. So today the editor will teach you how to raise ducks in winter. Let's have a look.

1. Repair the duck house

If you want to keep raising winter ducks after the end of autumn, the duck house must be repaired. After Li Dong in our country, the temperature generally drops sharply, and the physique of ducklings is very poor. If adult ducks are not raised well in winter, their weight will lose, not to mention ducklings. Therefore, at the end of autumn, we need to check whether the duck house is damaged, loopholes, etc., and then repair it, fill up the air leakage and rain leakage, and then install a stove or other heating equipment in the duck house to adjust the temperature of the duck house.

2. Warm drink with hot feeding

Whether it is ducklings or adult ducks, we need to change hot feeding in winter and use warm water for feeding. To prevent ducks from eating cold food and catching colds or other epidemic diseases. General winter feeding is mainly corn flour, rice bran, rice and so on, and then heating after feeding. The temperature of hot feeding is usually about 38 degrees. It should also be noted that the rest of the feed should be cleared out in time after they have finished eating, so as not to eat cold food.

3. Supplementary lighting

The general duration of light in winter is relatively short, but the demand for light is relatively large for newborn ducklings. Many farmers feel that because it is very cold in winter, and then all the places that can be ventilated and transparent are sealed up, so that the duck house will be warmer. In fact, this is not correct, because they all ignore the growth needs of ducklings, which not only need a certain period of natural light, but also need to use fluorescent lamps to supplement light when there is a lack of light. Generally speaking, the duration of light should be kept at least 12 hours a day.

4. Add night food.

The temperature at night in winter is colder than during the day, and it is also the time when ducks are consumed the most. If ducks are to be maintained or fattened in the future, they will need to be replenished at night. Feeding is usually carried out around 12:00 every evening, which can not only supplement the nutrition needed for the growth of ducks, but also enhance the ability of ducks to keep out the cold. It should be noted, however, that although night feeding is based on concentrate, it does not include foods with high protein content.

5. Strengthen the exercise

The temperature in winter is relatively low, so many farmers do not pay attention to the amount of exercise of ducks. In fact, we should strengthen the amount of exercise of ducks in winter, which can improve the immunity of ducks, promote their digestion and increase their appetite. In this way, when the weather becomes cold, it also has a certain degree of cold resistance, so it will not be so prone to disease. So we can drive the ducks in the duck house to do circle movement in winter, and we can also have reasonable grazing when the weather is good. Grazing is usually chosen when the temperature is high at noon and drive the ducks back before cooling down.
