Planting tomatoes takes time to manage in the early stage, but in the later stage, as long as you visit occasionally, and then wait for the harvest, what is the process like? Let's learn about tomato planting techniques with the editor and see how to grow high-quality tomatoes.

1. Site selection

Tomatoes do not require a high address. Generally, paddy fields with light time can be planted, but there are still some aspects that need to be paid attention to. If the ventilation effect is good, it is still not in the tuyere; the soil should be relatively fertile, preferably near the water source, and the soil is moist all the year round; the terrain needs to be relatively flat and the slope is small; there are no strict requirements for soil permeability, as long as it is a little loose.

2. Land preparation

Although tomatoes like a relatively humid environment, they are not resistant to waterlogging, so drainage is more important. If the local soil moisture is high, it is recommended to turn the soil shallower; if it is called drought, it needs to be turned deeper, which is conducive to the root and growth of tomatoes. Planting is more intensive, you need to open more drainage channels, sparse ones can open less drainage channels. The width of each fast planting area is controlled at about one meter, showing a rectangular distribution, which is conducive to the management of harvest.

3. Planting

When the planting site is selected and sorted out, you can start planting. At present, the common way for farmers is to cultivate before planting, which usually begins to be planted after 1-2 months of seedling cultivation, when the height of the seedlings is about 10-20 cm, which is in a state of high vitality and is easier to grow. The distance of each plant can be controlled at 40-50 cm. If it is a large plant, it can be increased by 10-20 cm. The soil should cover the roots completely, and then compact the soil slightly.

4. Fertilization

When determining the seedlings, we need to apply sufficient base fertilizer, each plant should be based on farm fertilizer, the dosage is about 100-150 grams, and cooperate with 5-10 grams of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to ensure its initial fertilizer demand. The time of topdressing became shorter with the passage of time, the first topdressing began at the flowering stage, and then the second topdressing during the fruit growth period. Topdressing is more frequent after the first harvest, and it can be topdressing every time of flowering, fruiting and expansion, so as to ensure the nutrient demand of tomato mother.

5. Watering

During planting, a small amount of water is needed to speed up the adaptation of the seedlings to the soil. The first real watering begins a week after planting, to be thoroughly watered so that the roots can be fully absorbed and watered along the roots. The later watering depends on the soil dry and humidity, generally the interval is about 2 weeks, and the water in each fruit period should be irrigated more frequently, which can make the fruit grow brighter.

The tomato seedling stage is relatively fragile, but after passing the seedling stage, its tenacity is beyond everyone's imagination. In order to have high-yielding tomatoes, we should spend more time paying close attention to the growth of seedlings.
