Rhizoma Corydalis, also known as Rhizoma Corydalis, is a perennial plant in the poppy family. The main medicinal part is its tuber, which is rich in alkaloids and is often used to relieve pain, promote blood circulation and disperse blood stasis, as well as injury caused by falls. In China, it is mainly distributed in Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei and Zhejiang, and a small amount is also planted in many other areas, such as Shaanxi, Gansu and so on. So how to plant Corydalis? Let's take a look at its planting method.

1. Land preparation

The planting environment of Rhizoma Corydalis is generally warm and moist. Sandy soil with good drainage, strong soil permeability and rich humus content. Soil preparation is usually in the autumn, deep into the soil at least three times, is adequate barnyard manure or compost. The soil will be fine, the ground leveled, ditch for border, border width of about 1.3 meters, border height of about 30 centimeters, ditch width of 30 centimeters, depth of about 20 centimeters.

2. Sowing seeds

The best planting of Corydalis is between the end of September and the beginning of October every year. Sowing seeds is usually in the way of strip sowing, and then a shallow trench is made according to the distance between each row of about ten centimeters, with a depth of about five centimeters, and then the stems of Corydalis are arranged every six or seven centimeters. After setting it up, sprinkle with fertilizer, and then cover with a layer of fine soil to cover the seeds. It is generally necessary to plant about 900 kilograms of stems per mu.

3. Management

The weeding of Rhizoma Corydalis is different from that of other herbs. It can not be used for weeding by ploughing, but can only be pulled manually. When weeds grow out, pull weeds at any time to avoid nutrient loss. In February, the first fertilization was carried out, mainly with feces, urine or ammonium bicarbonate. when applying fertilizer, we need to dilute the concentration of fertilizer so as not to damage the growth of Rhizoma Corydalis. Secondly, in April, this is the post-anthesis fertilizer of Rhizoma Corydalis, which is not only for the treatment of feces and urine, but also needs to be carried out with potash, phosphate and other chemical fertilizers. In the growing period of Rhizoma Corydalis, water management is very important, so we should ensure soil moisture, reasonable watering, and timely drainage.

4. Disinfestation

The most common diseases and insect pests of Rhizoma Corydalis are downy mildew, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, rust and ground tiger. Downy mildew usually occurs in the growing period of Rhizoma Corydalis, that is, around April, we can use Bordeaux liquid to control it, or use chlorothalonil wettable powder to control it. Sclerotinia sclerotiorum usually begins to appear slowly in March. April is the peak of the disease, and methyl thiophanate wettable powder or carbendazim wettable powder can be used to control it. Rust usually occurs in the middle of the growth of carbendazim wettable powder, which mainly harms the stems and leaves of Rhizoma Corydalis. For underground pests such as ground tigers, we can apply BHC powder to prevent them when preparing the soil.

The above is the planting method of Rhizoma Corydalis, in the process of planting Rhizoma Corydalis, we also have a lot to pay attention to, which can improve the yield and quality of Rhizoma Corydalis to a certain extent.
