Planting techniques of cattail
Cattail is a perennial aquatic or marsh herb, with many wild fish lakes, ponds and ditches in slow flow zone, which has high economic and medicinal value. Pollen can be used as medicine, has the effect of moistening dryness and cooling blood, invigorating the spleen and stomach, treating adverse urination, young can also be used as vegetables, leaves are used for weaving and papermaking, and it is one of the important aquatic economic plants. Let's take a look at its planting technology.
1. Soil preparation and fertilization
It is appropriate to choose a marsh or beach along the edge of rivers and lakes with deep silt layer and rich in organic matter. If the underwater soil of the planting plot is soft and fertile, there is no need for ploughing, weeds can be cleared and slightly leveled. However, if the underwater soil is hard and the fertility is insufficient, ploughing should be carried out and 5000 kilograms of human feces and urine per mu should be used as base fertilizer.
2. Methods of reproduction
Typha cattail has strong growth and strong vitality, so the method of reproduction should be relatively simple. Ramet or sowing are used in production. Ramet propagation is carried out from April to June. The robust lower rhizome of cattail is dug out and cut into several segments with buds, which can be planted. Sowing and reproduction are all carried out in the spring, and the seeds can be sowed in the soil to keep the soil moist and not be planted until they grow into seedlings in summer.
3. Colonization
The planting time can be chosen from spring to summer, when the temperature is mostly 15-25 degrees, the survival rate is high. When planting, the ramet with strong growth was selected as the seedling, and the seedlings were required to be dug out with roots, and planted with digging, and the row spacing was controlled at 50 × 50cm. If the leaves of the seedlings are too long, the top can be cut off to avoid lodging caused by the plant being too high.
4. Field management
Cattail requires that the water depth is moderate, keep the water depth 15-20cm in the early stage, and deepen the water level continuously with the growth of the plant in the later stage, but the maximum depth should not exceed 1.2m. The control of water depth determines the yield and quality of cattail. After one month of planting, it is generally necessary to topdressing once, applying manure or stable manure 1000 or 1500 kg per mu, and topdressing 1-2 times in the later stage depending on the growth of the plant. When the culm grows out of the water in summer, it should be pulled out in time, and at the same time, the tender stalks or leaves can be peeled off to control the density reasonably and make its distribution uniform.

Organic cauliflower planting mode
1. Seed disinfection the first step in planting organic cauliflower is to disinfect the seeds. Seed disinfection can effectively prevent all kinds of diseases and insect pests of cauliflower. 2. Cultivating organic cauliflower with strong seedlings can be cultivated in spring or autumn. Yang bed can be used to raise seedlings in spring cultivation, before the seedlings are unearthed.
