Taipei Mayor Ke Wenzhe went to attend the press conference on the opening of the old warehouse of Mitsui products Co., Ltd. at noon on the 31st, Taipei Mayor Ko Wenzhe said that Mitsui Warehouse is one of the few buildings that still retain the diamond trademark of Mitsui Group. After more than two years of restoration, it will officially open on November 1. The opening is mainly based on display space, while Mitsui Warehouse document exhibition, thanks to Mitsui products Company to provide a lot of first-hand information. Make this exhibition more distinct in terms of culture and history.
In addition, Mayor Ko Wenzhe also mentioned that the reopening of the Mitsui warehouse is part of the plan for the Western Portal. From the first night after taking office, it began with the demolition of the bus lane of Zhongxiao West Road, which has not been used for more than eight years, and became the beginning of the Western Portal Project.
Mayor Ke Wenzhe further pointed out that after the demolition of Guoguang passenger transport, Mitsui warehouse was relocated back for reconstruction, including the completion of the escape bend and the bus stop in Jiaotong 6 Square (Travel Square). So far, it seems that the whole Western District Portal is planned to leave the railway police station. I hope that the relevant bureaus will make a budget and plan the park in advance, after the railway police station will move in June next year and demolished in July. The park can be built at once.
Mayor Ke Wen-Tseh said that the Western Portal is the national gate of Taiwan, just as Paris in France has the Arc de Triomphe and Taipei in Taiwan also has the North Gate. Please continue to deal with the unfinished parts so that a more beautiful North Gate can be presented to the public in the future.
