Lawn planting technology
The content of lawn construction is to complete the lawn development and planting process according to the determined design. In the process of this construction, it is necessary to do a good job in land consolidation, while preparing the soil, applying base fertilizer and pest prevention pesticides, leveling the land, and arranging drainage and irrigation facilities. There are four planting methods: sowing method, planting method, laying grass block and laying grass roll. Sowing method should do a good job in seed selection and seed treatment, determine sowing time and sowing method, and planting method should determine planting time, select grass source, dig grass and plant; grass block and roll should be laid through the links of grass source selection, grass block determination, grass roll size specification, transportation and storage, planting and so on. Different planting methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. When laying lawn, we should choose suitable planting method according to the actual situation to make it produce economical and high quality lawn.
Treatment of lawn planting land
When planting lawns, the site must be arranged according to the design elevation in advance, and the main operation contents include digging (planing) loosening the land, leveling, fertilizing, etc., and changing soil if necessary. For lawns with special requirements, such as sports turf, groundwater drainage facilities should also be set up. 80% of the roots of lawn plants are distributed in the soil layer above 40cm, and more than 50% are within the range of 20cm below the surface. Although some lawn plants can tolerate drought and barren, it is easy to lead to poor growth when planted on the thick soil layer of 15cm, so the management should be strengthened. In order to keep the lawn with good quality and reduce the management cost, the thickness of the soil layer should reach about 40cm as far as possible, and the soil layer should be thickened where it is less than 30cm. For the soil containing impurities such as brick and stone, although it does not have much effect on the growth of lawn plants, it hinders the management and operation, so the sundries should be picked out and all the 30~40cm thick topsoil should be screened if necessary. If the soil contains lime and other substances harmful to the growth of lawn plants, all the topsoil with 40cm thickness should be removed and replaced with sandy loam to facilitate the growth and development of lawn plants.
In order to improve soil fertility, it is best to apply some high-quality organic fertilizer as base fertilizer. Application of farm manure 40~50t/hm2 or hemp residue 15~20t/hm2. If phosphate fertilizer is needed, calcium superphosphate 150~200kg/hm2 can be applied. No matter what kind of fertilizer is applied, it should be crushed and evenly mixed with the soil, sprinkled and turned into the soil. But do not apply horse dung, because it contains a large number of weed seeds, which will cause tillering of weeds in the lawn in the future. In order to control underground pests and protect the roots of lawn tillers, appropriate amount of pesticides were applied at the same time of fertilization. Spread evenly to prevent the powder from forming into lumps and affecting the survival of lawn plants.
After completing the above work, flatten the ground according to the design elevation and pay attention to maintaining a certain drainage slope (usually a slope of 0.3 to 0.5 degrees). There must not be potholes in the site to avoid stagnant water, and finally gently crush it with a mill. The stadium lawn has higher requirements for drainage, in addition to paying attention to the surface drainage (the slope can generally be 0.5-0.7 °), the underground drainage system should also be set up. The quality of land preparation is one of the keys to the success or failure of lawn establishment, which must be taken seriously.
Layout of drainage and irrigation systems
Lawn and other venues, need to consider the removal of surface water, so in the final leveling of the ground, to consider the problem of ground drainage, there can be no depression, in order to avoid stagnant water. The lawn mostly uses gentle slope to drain water, and a gentle slope gully is built in a certain area. The bottom end of the lawn can be set up with a rainwater outlet to accept the surface water discharged, which can be discharged through underground pipes, or connected directly with the lake pond by ditches. The surface of the ideal flat lawn should be slightly higher in the middle, gradually tilting to the periphery or edge. The lawn where the terrain is too flat, the lawn where the groundwater level is too high or the lawn of the sports ground with too much water, etc., should be equipped with hidden pipes or open ditches for drainage. The most perfect drainage facility is to use hidden pipes to form a system to connect with the free water surface or drainage pipe network. Lawn irrigation system is an important project to build lawn. At present, the sprinkler irrigation method is mostly used in lawns at home and abroad. therefore, the sprinkler irrigation pipe network should be buried before the site is finally leveled.
