Grain seed

2014 is coming to an end, farmers should not only reap rich fruits, but also prepare for next year's spring ploughing production. The annual seed purchase has already begun. I hope that farmers must identify genuine and fake seeds when purchasing seeds. Because fake seeds harm farmers from time to time, some farmers have suffered huge losses. I would like to remind farmers to carefully check the label on the seed package when buying seeds. At the same time, we should pay attention to the following points:

1. Buy seeds from legal seed management units. Legitimate business units have seed management licenses, letters of entrustment and agency, and industrial and commercial business licenses, which should be checked carefully when purchasing seeds; after purchasing seeds, they should ask for formal invoices from the operating units and properly preserve the packaging, in order to ensure that there are complaints about seed quality disputes in the future.

2. Pay attention to check whether the seed packaging is standardized and whether the label content is complete. The outer packaging of qualified seeds is relatively formal and standardized, and the seed label includes seed category, variety name, place of origin, quality index inspection certificate number, seed production and management license number or approval document number. The content of the label should be consistent with the seed sold.

3. When buying, check the luster, fullness, purity and mildew of the seeds one by one. If you have any questions, you should inquire in time. For those who have exaggerated effects in propaganda, it is best not to buy them.

4. Pay attention to the production date of seeds and avoid buying expired seeds. Although aged seeds can still be used, their germination rate is far below the production requirements, so it is best not to buy them.

5. Seed sellers are required to explain the production characteristics and cultivation techniques of the seeds purchased. Seed operators shall provide seed users with a brief description of the seed status, main cultivation measures, explanation of the conditions for use and consulting services, and shall be responsible for the seed quality.

6. After buying seeds, it is best to keep some seeds. In case you buy and use fake seeds, the seeds you leave behind will be the best material evidence when you complain to the local seed management department.
