When it comes to dandelion, we must think of a kind of weed, but the nutritional value of dandelion is very high. Dandelion is rich in vitamins, and the content of trace elements such as iron and calcium is not low. It can be used for stir-frying, making tea, making soup and other uses. it is a plant for both edible and medicinal purposes. Now the area of planting dandelion is also expanding, so how to manage the planting of dandelion? Let's take a look at it with the editor.

1. Water management

In the time from sowing to emergence, it is necessary to ensure that the soil is in a moist state. If the soil water content is not enough, you can cover the soil with a layer of forage, and then pour small water to improve the soil water retention capacity. After successful germination and emergence of dandelion seeds, it is necessary to control the amount of water, promote the growth ability of seedlings and reduce the phenomenon of overgrowth and lodging. When the plant grows rapidly, it is also necessary to keep the soil moist and promote leaf growth and photosynthesis.

2. Ploughing and weeding

Intertillage weeding is an important work in the process of planting dandelion, which should be carried out within 8-12 days after dandelion seed emergence. And every 10 days or so, ploughing should be timely according to the conditions in the field until the ridge is closed. The purpose of intertillage is to improve the nutrient absorption and permeability of the soil. Weeding is to prevent weeds from competing with dandelions for nutrients and water, which hinders the growth of dandelions.

3. The seedlings are fixed

After the emergence of dandelion seedlings to do a good job of seedling inspection, found that dandelion seedlings have weak seedlings dead phenomenon of timely uprooting, and immediately replenish seedlings to ensure the final yield of dandelion. When the dandelion carried out the first intermediate ploughing and weeding work, the seedlings were interspersed properly to increase the planting density of the seedlings, and the distance between each plant was about 4 cm. Then a month or so can begin to fix the seedlings, appropriately increase the distance between the seedlings by about 5 cm, improve the growth space of dandelion and promote the growth and development.

4. Topdressing in time

Although dandelion is adaptable, it should be fertilized at least twice in its growth process to ensure adequate nutrition for its growth and development. If it is planted in autumn, then the appropriate amount of organic fertilizer and superphosphate should be applied in the field after winter. It can not only do a good job of direct flight, but also increase the soil temperature and help the roots survive the winter successfully. After entering the spring, chemical fertilizer should be applied properly and water application should be adopted to prevent burning the roots.

5. Timely harvest

When harvesting, it should be noted that the young plant leaves should not be harvested as far as possible, and the harvest time of young plant leaves should be delayed to the second year. After one year of growth, the plant quality and yield can be effectively improved. The main edible part of dandelion is the leaf, which can be cut off with a knife during harvest. It can be harvested all at once, or once every 3 weeks or so.

The above is a brief introduction of dandelion planting field management methods, planting dandelion is actually relatively simple. Seeds are also very easy to get, but it is difficult to manage, of which a little better is the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, because the disease resistance of dandelion is very strong, so you can relax properly. It is mainly the work of watering and fertilizing. I hope everyone can take it seriously. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can be helpful to everyone.
