How to increase the feed intake of broilers with less food intake and poor disease resistance in summer
High temperature in summer, poor appetite and less food intake lead to poor disease resistance of broilers, and easy to belong to, but also lead to poor feelings of broilers and delay the listing period. So how to feed broilers in summer?
Broiler
1. Change the feeding time: during the summer day, when the temperature is high, most broilers only gasp and do not eat, but the temperature is low and the appetite is strong during the period from evening to morning, so the feeding times can be increased 1-2 times during this period. the number of daytime feeding decreased accordingly.
2. Effective cooling facilities: building chicken sheds in places with high dryness and good ventilation; spraying water or covering grass curtains on the roof of chicken sheds; opening all doors, windows and vents; installing ceiling fans in sheds; spraying cold water mist on broilers, etc., can cool down.
3. Feeding pellet feed: practice has proved that broilers eat powder feed slowly, but eat pellet feed faster and more. Therefore, feeding broilers with pellet feed in summer can make up for the lack of feed intake caused by loss of appetite.
4. Supply enough cool drinking water: when the weather is hot, broilers need more water because they need to dissipate heat by constantly gasping for breath and evaporating water in the body. Therefore, the supply of drinking water for raising broilers in summer should be adequate, can not be lacking, lack of water for a short time, affect growth, lack of water for a long time, broilers die of heatstroke.
5. Reduce the feeding density: the high feeding density is not conducive to the heat dissipation of broilers, resulting in high house temperature, so the feeding density of broilers should be reasonable. Free-range breeding on the ground, no more than 8 per square meter, no more than 12 per square meter.
6. Increase the amount of vitamin feeding: the intake of broilers in summer is less, but the demand for vitamins is increased, especially vitamin E, vitamin B2, vitamin B12 and so on. Therefore, in summer, we should often mix multivitamin into the feed and drinking water of broilers, which can reduce heat stress and increase feed intake.
7. Adding oil: when broilers are in high temperature environment, adding oil in feed is beneficial to increase energy, reduce heat consumption, slow down heat stress and increase body weight of broilers. The amount of oil added generally accounts for 1%-3% of the feed.
8. Add zeolite: zeolite has the functions of adsorption, catalysis and ion exchange, as well as anti-diarrhea and respiratory diseases. The experiment showed that adding 3% zeolite powder to the feed of 21-day-old broilers could increase the weight of broilers by 11.7%.
9. Add raw gypsum: raw gypsum, clear heat, cold, clear heat and purge fire, invigorate body and quench thirst, so it is suitable for broilers to use. The amount of raw gypsum generally accounts for 0.1%-0.3% of the diet.
