Pheasants infected with colibacillosis are lethargic, shrink their heads, stand still, do not want to move, lose appetite or do not eat, drink, crop effusion or accumulation of food, loose and dull feathers, purple crown, green and white dung, feathers around the anus are contaminated by faeces, some open mouth breathing, nasal secretions, symptoms appear 2-5 days after death.

Pheasant

1. Treatment:

1. 0.015% neomycin sulfate was mixed into pheasant feed for 7 days.

2. Add 40% apramycin sulfate soluble powder (500 mg apramycin per liter of drinking water) for 5 days, seriously ill pheasants, each intramuscular injection of 20,000 international units of amikacin, once a day for 3 days.

3. Change the cushion, disinfect and keep clean. Pheasants are thoroughly disinfected with 1500 times of Baidu, twice a day, until the epidemic situation is under control.

After the above treatment, the condition was controlled after 3 days, and the pheasant tended to normal after 5 days.

II. Prevention

1. Improve the feeding environment, disinfect and keep clean. The pheasant house should be ventilated, dry, prevent overcooling and overheating, reduce the feeding density, change the cushion frequently, and alternately use pheasant disinfectant to disinfect the chicken house, sports ground and equipment, so as to ensure clean drinking water and reduce pheasant stress.

2. Adjust the diet structure and pay attention to the feed quality. Pheasant nutrition should be comprehensive, supplement vitamin A, E, C, trace elements, protein, in order to enhance physique and immunity.

3. drug prophylaxis. When pheasants are suspected to be infected with Escherichia coli or under severe stress, sensitive drugs such as gentamicin, pioneer V, amikacin, neomycin sulfate and quinolones can be selected for stage prevention.
