Last Updated: 2024/11/08, September is the peak season for fish growth. Comprehensive management measures for adult fish in September.

September every year is the peak season for fish growth, during which the air temperature is high, the water temperature is suitable and the bait is rich. Doing a good job in this period management can achieve the goal of high yield of fish culture.

Fish pond management

First, look at the water and fertilize: patrol the pond at any time, observe the water color, and apply fertilizer reasonably according to the change of water color. If the water color is black, the transparency is low, the water has a peculiar smell, and the fish in the pond is seriously floating, it is necessary to stop putting fertilizer, and add and change new water in time. If the pond water is yellowish brown, the transparency is about 20cm, and the pool water fertility is suitable, you can not put fertilizer for the time being. If the water color is light and the transparency is high, it is necessary to increase the amount of fertilizer. The fish ponds where silver carp and bighead carp are mainly raised can be fermented by mixed manure of human and animal to increase the plankton in the pond water.

Second, feeding concentrate: fish ponds mainly raising omnivorous fish such as carp and tilapia, feeding corn flour, rice bran, wheat bran, bean cake, bean dregs and other fresh plant bait such as vine leaves, tender grass, green vegetables and so on. Every day, there are three times of bait in the morning, middle and evening, in which the amount of bait is more in the morning and evening and less at noon. Daily feeding accounts for about 2-3% of the total fish in the pond.

Third, adding new water: in summer and autumn, when the water temperature is too high, the decomposition of organic matter in the pond is accelerated, the oxygen consumption increases, and the pond water is easy to be anoxic and deteriorated. At this time, it is necessary to often add and change new water, increase the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water, keep the pond depth about 2 meters, and the water temperature is controlled at 23-29 ℃, so as to facilitate the normal growth of fish.

Fourth, disease prevention: September is the peak season for fish growth, and it is also the season with high incidence of fish diseases, especially Gill rot, water mildew and grass carp enteritis. The incidence is high. Therefore, fish ponds should be disinfected with quicklime, and it is forbidden to feed moldy and spoiled feed. To prevent fulminant fish disease and prevent grass carp enteritis, chives and garlic can be mashed and added to the green feed to feed the fish.
