Ensure high yield of citrus and high yield in the coming year seven points should be remembered in autumn management of citrus
The task of the autumn management of the orange orchard is to prescribe the right medicine according to the growth and development of the tree and the weather characteristics, to ensure the high quality and high yield of the citrus, and to maintain a good tree potential so as to lay a good foundation for high yield and stable yield in the following year. In citrus producing areas, do a good job in seven aspects:
Citrus sugar increased by plastic film mulching
Film mulching to increase sugar: in order to increase the content of citrus soluble solids and improve citrus flavor and storability, a reflective film was laid before fruit picking.
Drainage and waterproof: it is rainy in autumn, which often causes rotten roots, so it is very important to do well the drainage and irrigation system of orange orchard. The "three trenches" should be opened well, that is, there are middle ditches between rows, edge ditches around the garden, and drainage ditches outside the garden.
Timely harvest: harvest principle: "timely non-destructive", harvest method: "double shear method". That is, the first cut is above 1cm from the pedicel, and the second cut, the calyx of the whole fruit is cut flat. Avoid mechanical damage and rain when harvesting oranges.
Early application of fruit-picking fertilizer: the purpose of fruit-picking fertilizer is to restore tree potential, improve the cold resistance of citrus trees, and store nutrients for spring shoots and flowering and fruiting in the second year. Early-maturing varieties were applied 7-10 days after harvest, medium-maturing varieties were applied while picking, and late-maturing varieties were applied 7-10 days before harvest. When fertilizing, mainly organic fertilizer, combined with phosphate fertilizer, nitrogen fertilizer or compound fertilizer, the amount of fertilizer applied accounts for more than 45% of the annual fertilizer amount, and the amount of nitrogen application accounts for more than 40% of the total nitrogen fertilizer in the whole year. The specific amount of fertilizer application should be determined according to the age of citrus trees and the amount of fruit hanging.
Autumn planting garden: autumn planting in early September-late October is appropriate. Before the establishment of the garden, scientific planning should be made, suitable varieties should be selected, seedling quality should be strictly controlled, soil improvement should be done well, and ridging cultivation should be advocated. Dig a drainage ditch with a width of 0.7 meters at the top, a width of 0.2 meters at the bottom and a depth of 0.8 meters every 9 to 9.3 meters in a row to form a planting bed about 9 meters wide. Two rows of oranges are directly planted on the border surface, with a plant spacing of 2 meters.
Citrus garden
Clear the garden quickly: after fruit harvest, the citrus garden should be cleaned quickly, cut off the dead branches of diseases and insect pests, scrape off the old warped bark of the trunk, remove the residual branches, fallen leaves and weeds out of the garden, and reduce the number of overwintering diseases and insect pests. Spraying 1-2 times as early as possible, focusing on the prevention and control of anthracnose, resin disease and red and yellow spiders.
Anti-cold and anti-freezing: take southern Shaanxi as an example, southern Shaanxi is located in the northernmost edge of citrus production in China. Citrus anti-cold and anti-freezing measures should be taken as a routine management measure. Although there are many anti-freezing measures, the most fundamental thing is to strengthen the tree. Before the cold wave comes, wrap the tree trunk with straw to prevent freezing. In addition, whitening tree trunks can also protect against freezing.
