Asparagus is widely cultivated as a vegetable in the south, and its stalks and leaves can be separated as two dishes. The pole is crisp at the entrance and the leaves are sweet and delicious. Many people like to eat them very much. But in the planting process, there are a lot of hollow diseases, do not know what to call and do not know how to solve. Today, the editor brings you the common diseases of asparagus and the methods of prevention and control.

1. Anthracnose of hollow cabbage

Anthracnose is one of the most common diseases in many crops, and asparagus is no exception. Anthracnose mainly harms the leaves of asparagus and, to a certain extent, affects the stalks. The leaves will begin to produce very obvious brown irregular patches at the tip or edge of the leaves, which will spread to the whole leaf, causing the leaves to become yellow and inedible. In the seriously affected areas, disease-resistant varieties should be selected, nitrogen fertilizer should not be applied excessively, foliar fertilizer should be sprayed properly to promote growth. In the initial stage of the disease, mancozeb and other agents can be used for spraying, once a week, lasting about a month.

2. Root rot of asparagus

Root rot mostly harms the roots of asparagus, causing root rot and affecting the yield. In the early stage of the disease, the spirit of the whole plant was poor, the root color became brown, gradually sunken, and finally the whole plant withered. In the selection of varieties, cold-resistant and moisture-resistant products should be selected, continuous cropping should not be carried out as far as possible, and the soil should be ploughed before sowing to maintain the soil permeability. It was found that the disease was evenly sprayed with methyl thiophanate wettable powder and stopped spraying about five days before harvest.

3. Brown spot of hollow cabbage

Brown spot is mainly harmful to leaves. At the beginning of the disease, a pair of yellowish-brown dots will appear on the leaves, which will expand until all the dots on the leaves are connected, causing the whole leaf to die. It is recommended to deal with the diseased body in time, focus on burning, reduce the source of disease bacteria, disinfect the seeds or select disease-free seeds before sowing, and pay attention to the drainage and ventilation between the ground. It was found that the disease could be evenly sprayed with mancozeb dry suspension powder and other agents to inhibit bacteria, once a week for a month, and stopped spraying five days before harvest.

4. White rust of Chinese cabbage

White rust is mainly harmful to the stems and leaves of asparagus, it will produce many white or yellowish spots on the back of the leaves, brown in the later stage, and the patches are larger. The leaf patch will bulge, and in severe cases, it can cause the leaf to fall. When selecting seeds, you should choose disease-resistant seeds, not continuous cropping. After harvest, clean up the fields, disinfect and reduce germs. Use fertilizers such as phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to soften the soil. The seeds can be soaked in warm water for about half an hour before sowing. If you find the disease, you can use metalaxyl wettable powder and other agents to evenly irrigate. Spray about four times a month.

The above four are several common diseases of asparagus, in which attention should be paid to root rot and popsicle, which will greatly reduce the yield of asparagus if they are not paid attention to. In fact, as long as normal management, pay attention to fertilization, clean up weeds and disabled bodies, there can be less and more morbidity.
