3. Anthracnose of pumpkin

Anthracnose mainly harms leaves and fruits, waterlogged spots appear when the leaves are sick, and then spread into large brown spots, and pink sticky substances appear when the spots are hot and humid; when the fruit is infected, waterlogged spots also appear and gradually expand, and finally the lesions become black and rotten.

Control methods: seed disinfection with Fumishuang wettable powder to eliminate the germs carried by the seed epidermis, it is recommended to rotate with corn, wheat and other crops to reduce the occurrence of diseases. The disease can be cured after spraying with chlorothalonil wettable powder or mancozeb once a week for 2-3 times in a row.

4. Pumpkin downy mildew

Downy mildew is one of the main diseases of pumpkin, which mainly harms the leaves. When the disease occurs, the leaves appear water-immersed yellow spots, which gradually spread, and finally lead to the formation of yellow-brown irregular polygonal disease spots. In a humid environment, the disease spot will have a gray-black mildew layer, and when the disease is serious, the whole planting land will be withered and yellow.

Prevention and treatment of downy mildew: to control downy mildew mainly, select varieties with strong disease resistance, disinfect seeds with carbendazim wettable powder during planting, strengthen field management and enhance plant disease resistance.
