Quinoa is one of the precious biodiversity food resources of human beings. it originates from South America, the only whole protein grain in the plant world, and the only single plant that can meet the basic nutritional needs of human beings. its high market price and extremely stringent requirements on soil, climate, water and fertilizer conditions, known as super grain and Inca gold, let's take a look at the high-yield planting techniques of quinoa.

Growth condition

The growth conditions of quinoa include soil, soil PH, climate, water, rainfall, temperature, radiation and altitude, etc. The suitable temperature is 15: 20 ℃, the highest temperature is not more than 32 ℃, the altitude is more than 1500 meters, the soil PH value is 5.5-8.5, and the soil moisture is at least 3 times 4 of the field capacity, in order to promote seed germination.

Planting preparation

The purchase of means of production of quinoa includes seeds, compound fertilizers, planters and so on. Rotary ploughing the land one week before planting, not too deep, it is best to use a ballast machine. Fertilizer 40 kg / mu, farm manure is the best, compound fertilizer (N:P:K 15% each). However, wood engraving can not be used to sow seeds, because it is difficult to control the uniform depth.

Sowing at the right time

The sowing time of quinoa is from the beginning of May to the end of May. Sowing during the rainfall of about 30 mm is beneficial to seed emergence. 400 grams of quinoa wheat per mu is mixed with 1.4 jin of fried millet. Using a small two-legged miscellaneous grain seeder, adjust the sowing depth and sowing rate before sowing, sowing depth 1-2 cm, row spacing 50 cm, plant spacing 30 cm.

Seedling emergence management

Quinoa germinated about 3 days after sowing and unearthed in 5 days. If the seedlings did not emerge in 10 days, they should be replanted in time. Attention should be paid to underground pests in the emergence stage, and wild boars should be prevented if the previous crop is potatoes. After sowing quinoa for 30-40 days, the seedlings grew to 15-20 cm and began weeding.

Field management

Quinoa to artificial weeding, do not use herbicides, the first weeding plus seedlings, ensure plant spacing, plant spacing of 20 cm, leaving a single seedling, row spacing of 45 cm and 50 cm. Root cultivation can be carried out during the second weeding to promote root growth and prevent lodging in the later stage. 40 kg compound fertilizer per mu, in principle, no topdressing is carried out, but topdressing can be considered when the soil fertility is too poor. When the soil is dry and irrigated, it can be irrigated once during 40-70 days.

Harvesting and processing

Quinoa is harvested when it grows to 100-130 days, and when it matures, the seeds harden and the nails cannot be pinched. Prepare plastic sheeting before harvest (for covering, threshing and drying in bad weather). It is better to harvest with a sickle in the mountain area and harvest in sunny days. The weather is sunny after harvest, can be bundled into small bundles of dehydration, threshing and drying in time, so as to avoid fermentation deterioration. After drying, fan jolts off the impurities in quinoa and install them for sale.
