Job's tears in our lives often appear in the form of job's tears soup, job's tears porridge or job's tears powder, its nutritional value is very high, at present many of us are more heavy body moisture, appear bloated, in fact, sometimes not you fat just you moisture heavy, eat more job's tears food can remove body moisture, enhance immunity. Today, let's take a look at what is planted, when it is harvested and how it is planted.

planting time

The planting time of Job's tears actually has a lot to do with the climate. At the same time, there are many planting time periods for Job's tears. Generally speaking, it can be from March to June every year. More specifically, the earliest is from early March to mid-March every year, followed by the end of March to early April, and then the end of April to early May. The last sowing time is early June, which means that it cannot be sown earlier than March and cannot be sown later than June. Too early or too late will affect the yield of barley.

planting method

Seed selection and soil preparation: The selection of seed of Job's tears must pay attention to, select full and shiny particles for seed use, or choose excellent varieties when buying seeds, that is to say, seeds with strong adaptability, strong resistance and good yield and quality. After selecting seeds, we must carry out soil preparation. There are two ways of soil preparation. The first is hydroponic soil preparation, which is to fill the field with water first, then plough the field and plow it. The second method is dry planting soil preparation, that is, digging, ridging and furrowing to do a good job of drainage and irrigation system. Both methods need to apply base fertilizer to ensure soil fertility.

Sowing method: seed treatment should be carried out before sowing, that is, the seeds should be packed without words, and then soaked in lime water. After one day, the cloth bag should be taken out and washed several times with clean water, which is conducive to improving the germination rate of seeds, and then sowing can be carried out. There are two ways of sowing, hydroponic and dry-planting. Hydroponic cultivation is the same as transplanting rice, but coix does not need to keep pouring water into the field. It is good to dig ditches and make ridges after waiting for the soil to dry. Dry planting method is to sow seeds at certain intervals on the previously prepared ridge.

Field management: If there is thinning in the field, it is necessary to make up the seedlings in time. Generally, weeding and fertilization should be carried out once when the coix seedlings grow to five or six centimeters. The second weeding should wait until 15 to 20 centimeters. Fertilization should also be carried out this time. When the seedlings grow to about 35 centimeters, that is, when they bloom and bear ears, topdressing should be carried out. Generally, farm manure or urea should be applied, and lodging prevention measures should be taken. Water is also very important in the process of coix seed growth. Generally, there is more water during germination, but try to keep dry when growing seedlings, and supplement water in time when heading, so we should control the water in the field. Finally, in order to improve yield, we generally adopt artificial means to help the pollination of coix seed and improve the heading rate.

Timely harvest: The ripening season of Job's tears is generally in September, but there is a difference in the ripening time of each plant of Job's tears, even the same plant ripens. Generally, 80% of Job's tears change color and harden, which basically means that they can be harvested. The harvested Job's tears need to be dried for three or four days before they can be threshed. After threshing, it needs to be dried for a few days and then peeled and packaged. At this time, the harvest is really over.
