Cultivation techniques of Xiwu
Evening fog, also known as throat flower, originated in the Mediterranean region, it is strange to many people, its dense growth of flowers, there is a sense of hazy, like flowers in the fog, hence the name. It has small, simple and elegant flowers, rich colors, and looks very lovable. Evening fog is still more popular. Many friends want to raise a pot by themselves, but they don't know the specific methods. Let's take a look at its cultivation techniques.
Growth habit
Before breeding it, we first understand its habits, prepare for cultivation, foggy like warm and humid environment, not cold-resistant, that is, suitable for farming in the south, if the north wants to breed in winter, we need to prepare the greenhouse environment or migrate to the south to overwinter. The demand for care is strong, lack of light will affect its bud growth, lack of light in winter we can use incandescent lamp artificial illumination.
Reproduction method
The method of reproduction can be divided into sowing and ramet.
Sowing: prepare one gram of seeds (about 1000), sow the seeds in the flowerpot, keep the temperature at about 18 degrees Celsius, sprout in 1 to 3 weeks, germinate in the outdoor sunny zone, carry out all-nature sunshine, and blossom in about 20 weeks.
Ramet: ramet propagation is more commonly used, choose strong plants to separate from the roots, generally 2-3 plants are planted in a pot, water after planting, also maintain the temperature of about 18 degrees Celsius, move to the zone with sufficient light, and then transplant after the plant growth is stable.
Cultivation techniques
1. Temperature: whether sowing or multiplication, the suitable temperature for the growth of Evening Fog is about 18 degrees Celsius. Too high and too low temperature will affect its growth and cause its death.
2. Illumination: sunset fog has a strong demand for care, lack of light will delay flowering growth, in addition, lengthening the duration of sunshine can inhibit its plant height, irradiate the plant with incandescent lamp, and make the sunlight last for more than 16 hours.
3. Watering: in the process of cultivation, the evening fog should pay attention to drainage and waterlogging prevention in the rainy season, watering in the flowering period in case of drought, large evaporation in summer, the amount of watering should be increased appropriately, and the amount of water should be reduced in winter.
4. Fertilization: choose fertile and humid sandy loam for cultivation, and fertilize once a month during the growing period.
5. Pruning: the sunset fog is mainly pruned after flowering, and the residual flowers are cut off in time to avoid nutrient consumption, so as to provide sufficient nutrients for the next flowering and ensure that the flowers bloom thickly.
The above is the introduction of the cultivation methods of the evening fog, I believe we also have some understanding of the cultivation methods of the evening fog, as long as we pay attention to the above points, we can ensure that the evening fog flowers bloom brilliantly.
