Recently, the temperature in Wuhan is relatively low, which once made the editor feel that winter is coming! With the low temperature, the maintenance of succulent plants has become "challenging" ~ so, how to prevent succulent plants from freezing in autumn and winter? Perhaps the greenhouse has the most say!

How to prevent succulent plants from freezing?

Succulent plants can be divided into three types according to the degree of frostbite: mild frostbite, severe frostbite, and frostbite to death.

Slight frostbite

There are signs of frostbite on the leaves of succulent plants, which is characterized by signs of hydration and shrinkage on the leaves, becoming transparent or even ash, only some leaves appear frostbite.

In view of this situation, as long as the next conservation environment no longer tends to 0 ℃ (preferably 10 ℃ +), there is no problem for succulent plants to survive, the frostbitten leaves can not be recovered, and the shrinkage and hydration will fall sooner or later. When changing pots in spring, cut off the frozen leaves, but only if your meat is safe through the winter.

Severe frostbite

Most of the leaves and even the stems of succulent plants show signs of frostbite, obvious hydration and shrinkage, transparency and even ash blackening, such as this situation is more complicated.

If only the leaves show signs of frostbite and the stem is not transparent and blackened, then put the succulent plants in a bright and slightly ventilated environment of 10 ℃ + for about a week, do not water, remove the obviously frostbitten leaves, and make a slight observation, if there is no trend of hydration, you can generally continue to survive strongly.

If the stem shows signs of transparency and softening, remove the frostbitten stem (be sure to remove it, it will spread all the way), smear the wound with carbendazim, place it for observation, and then insert the branch after a period of time. If part of the stem already shows signs of frostbite from the beginning, remove the frostbitten part directly, and then repeat the above steps.

How to judge whether succulent plants are frozen to death?

If the whole leaves of succulent plants are severely frostbitten and even the stems are hydrated, they can only rest in peace.

Again, the best solution to avoid frostbite of succulent plants is to pay attention to the lowest temperature in local history, do not expose succulent plants to outdoor environments below 0 ℃, and watch more weather forecasts to prevent a sudden drop in temperature. A lot of meat is hung on the sudden drop in temperature.

How does succulent plant prevent frost in autumn and winter? The greenhouse has the most say.

Some people say that whether the succulent pot is good or not depends on whether you provide it with a good growth environment. There is a saying that "all things grow by the sun."

The term "sunshine" here is a collective noun, which means not only sunshine, but also soil, air, water and other environmental factors. If plants grow well, they must grow in the environment they feel most comfortable.

Why do the plants in the greenhouse grow well? Because the environment in the greenhouse is good: long sunshine time, high humidity, air circulation, soil also has a special formula. Once went to the greenhouse with a friend to choose meat, she chose an extraordinarily fat angel tears. I say this one looks good, but it will get ugly in two weeks at the most if you take it back.

The environment in the greenhouse, the balcony of the ordinary home is very difficult to simulate. So when we raise meat, we just try to provide a comfortable environment for plants, sunshine and air circulation, watering when it's time to water and keeping it warm when it's time to keep warm.

Growth is the plant's own business, as long as it provides a suitable growth environment, the plant will naturally return to the state.
