Olive grows in a special environment. It is an epiphytic plant in mountainous areas at higher elevations. It generally grows on sturdy trees with high water content or humus rocks. Therefore, it is necessary to choose such an environment when planting so that it can be planted artificially.

2. Reproduction

Olive has strong asexual fecundity, so it is generally chosen to propagate separately with pseudobulb, dig out the root system of olive and cut its bulb into small tubers. Then use these small tubers evenly on the seeding bed, then water them, cover a layer of wet soil and barnyard manure to overwinter, irrigate the seedbed after the beginning of March next spring, keep the water depth 15cm, and transplant when the seedlings grow to 20cm. You can also use seeds to sow and propagate, generally with a germination rate of more than 70%, but the seedlings grow too slowly and take time.

3. Transplanting

When transplanting seedlings, the seedbed should be irrigated first, and then the seedlings should be pulled out. When transplanting according to the row spacing of 20 × 30cm, the soil can be fertilized before transplanting. If the soil is rich in humus, it can not be fertilized. Irrigation after transplanting, after two months to maintain water supply, according to the height of the seedlings to increase the water level, but should not be too deep, so as not to cause rotting root death.

4. Field management

After the plant turns green, it is necessary to apply 50 kg of human and animal manure or cake fertilizer and 10 kg of urea per mu, drain water when fertilizing, leave some water, and sprinkle fertilizer in the field. Try again according to the growth status of the plant after 2-3 months. During this period, weeding should be done well so as not to affect growth. In addition, lodging should be paid attention to.
