Orchid is the most common plant in the family, its plant shape is more elegant, the leaf is more slender, the leaf color is evergreen all the year round, and rich in luster, with more elegant flowers, emitting a faint fragrance, giving people a relaxed and happy feeling. But when watering the orchids, a little carelessness will leave the orchids in pots. Here are a few points to pay attention to when watering orchids:

Never pour water on the leaves.

Think that many plants can spray water on the leaves, which can increase air humidity and purify the dust above the leaves. If the leaves of orchids are sparse, they can be poured on them. In this way, the water above the leaves is easier to dry.

If the leaves are relatively dense, water drops on the leaves, the water is not easy to dry, if it flows to the center of the leaves, it will rot the leaves for a long time and breed bacteria. So if you are watering, you can water it along the edge of the pot.

Never water half of it.

When many novices breed orchids, they especially loved orchids, so they watered them every day, not thoroughly, but only to the upper half of the soil. At first, there was no phenomenon for orchids, but in the end they yellowed the leaves. Because the lower part of the root system can not receive water for a long time, over time, the lower part of the root system will cause empty roots.

Therefore, when watering orchids, we can abide by the principle of "no dry, no watering, watering thoroughly". You can insert a small stick and leave it for a period of time. If the stick is dry, you can water it. If you don't do it, don't water it.
