The substrate for the cultivation of succulent plants must distinguish between what kind or which stage of growth, and cannot be generalized. The following are several matrix formulations for the cultivation of succulent plants. I would like to communicate with you. Of course, friends from different regions and different climatic conditions can adjust appropriately according to the composition of the local soil and the species cultivated.

Raw material

Aeolian sandy soil: select pollution-free aeolian sandy soil, sift through, and remove impurities.

Garden soil: select the pollution-free garden soil that peels off 5cm of skin, sieves, and removes impurities.

Peat soil: sifted, and then removed impurities and larger particles.

Humus: must be thoroughly mature.

The above needs to be disinfected and insecticidal.

Perlite: select the newly made perlite the size of rice grains, sift out the fine dust and scald it with boiling water.

Volcanic ash: different regions, difficult and easy to take different, dispensable.

Vermiculite: select the screening type, then separate the thickness and use it separately.

River sand: the river sand used for construction can be washed.

Coal ash block: self-made briquette ash block, honeycomb ash block, burning soil can be used. Rinse with clean water, change the water repeatedly for 3 to 5 times, bleach away excessive calcium and magnesium salt and alkali, and reduce the pH value.

Old lime: the old wall skin, the waste of the lime factory and the detritus of absorbent stone can be used, but the dosage is small.

Base fertilizer

Livestock feces: pig manure partial acid; sheep feces alkali; pig and cow manure temperature, fertilizer effect is short and fierce; sheep and rabbit manure is cool, fertilizer effect is long and slow.

Poultry feces: chicken and pigeon manure is hot, the fertilizer effect is long and fierce, and the pH value is moderate.

Animal hooves: the hooves of donkeys, horses and mules, the hoof shells of cattle, sheep and pigs, and the claws of chickens, ducks and pigeons.

Bean dregs and bean cakes: if it is not easy to get, stir-fry the soybeans directly.

Sunflower seeds, pockmarked seeds: fried and crushed.

Oilseed meal: the dregs of rapeseed, sesame, peanuts, flax, etc.

The fermentation of melon peel: melon peel and discarded fruits, vegetable leaves and so on.

The above fertilizers must be fully fermented and mature, and there must be no raw fertilizers.

Chemical fertilizers: as the base fertilizer, there are mainly calcium superphosphate, diammonium phosphate, multi-element compound phosphate fertilizer and so on.

Several formulations

1. Formula of cactus sowing medium

Aeolian sandy soil or garden soil 50%, peat soil 30%, perlite 5%, a small amount of vermiculite fine powder, the above are used to cover seeds when sowing and play a moisturizing effect; 5% river sand and 10% coal ash are added to the sowing soil.

2. The culture medium formula of strong thorn cactus.

60% of aeolian sandy soil or garden soil, 10% of peat soil or humus, 5% of perlite or vermiculite, 5% of river sand, 10% of coal ash, 5% of aged lime, 5% of livestock feces, poultry droppings, bean dregs, bean cakes, sunflower seeds, pockmarked seeds, oil meal, melon peel fermentation (take one or more mixtures) 5%, plus a small amount of chemical fertilizer, 5 grams per pot.

3. General cactus culture medium formula

70% of aeolian sandy soil or garden soil, 10% of peat soil or humus, 5% of perlite or vermiculite, 5% of river sand, 5% of coal ash, 5% of the above organic base fertilizer (one or more), plus a small amount of chemical fertilizer, 5 grams per pot.

4. Formula of sowing medium for small succulent plants of Amygdalaceae such as Caryophyllum.

Aeolian sandy soil or garden soil 60%, peat soil or humus 10%, perlite or vermiculite 10%, river sand 10%, coal ash 10%.

5. Formula of seedling substrate for planting small succulent plants of Amygdaceae, such as Prunus tomentosa.

65% of aeolian sandy soil or garden soil, 10% of peat geotechnical humus, 10% of perlite or vermiculite, 5% of river sand, 5% of coal ash, 5% of the above organic base fertilizer (one or more), plus a small amount of chemical fertilizer, 1g / pot.

6. formula of seedling substrate for planting small succulent plants of Amygdaceae, such as Prunus tomentosa.

65% of aeolian sandy soil or garden soil, 10% of peat soil or humus, 5% of perlite or vermiculite, 5% of river sand, 10% of coal ash, 5% of the above organic base fertilizer (one or more), plus a small amount of chemical fertilizer, 1g / pot.

7. Substrate formula for planting other succulent plants (12 rolls, Euphorbia, lying cattle, etc.)

65% of aeolian sandy soil or garden soil, 10% of peat soil or humus, 10% of perlite or vermiculite, 5% of river sand, 10% of coal ash, a small amount of organic base fertilizer (one or more), 20 grams per basin, plus a small amount of chemical fertilizer, 3 grams per basin.

8. The formula of substrate for planting large succulent plants like aloe.

80% of aeolian sandy soil or garden soil, 5% of river sand, 10% of coal ash, 5% of the above organic base fertilizer (one or more), plus a small amount of chemical fertilizer, 10 grams per pot.

Points for attention in the use of the above formula

1. When the seedlings were transplanted, the fertilizer was reduced to 1 × 3 or 1 / 5.

2. When there is only one kind of raw materials or fertilizers, choose the one with the least harm in the future.

3. Increase or decrease the amount of perlite, vermiculite and river sand according to the local air water content and evaporation. The humid area increases and the dry area decreases.

4. The prepared matrix must be sterilized to kill germs and eggs.

5. All materials should not contain immature ingredients.

6. Don't press it too hard during cultivation, just pier it.

7. Watering for the first time, using the method of sitting basin absorption.

8. The basin is covered with a mixture of 1 cm thick garden soil and 50% river sand.

9. The base fertilizer is not mixed in, but is directly placed in the lower part of the basin.

10. The flowerpot mentioned above is 15 cm in diameter. When the basin diameter is reduced by 5 cm, the base fertilizer is halved, and for every 5 cm, the original amount is increased by 1 cm.

11. The percentage in the above formulations is measured by volume or volume.
