It is a commonly used traditional Chinese medicine with a long history and is a common medicine for moistening lung qi, relieving cough and resolving phlegm. Honeysuckle is distributed in most parts of our country. Due to the depletion of wild resources and declining production, artificial planting is on the rise. Let's take a look at its planting technology.

1. Land selection and preparation

Planting winter generally chooses the shady slope or sunny slope lowland in the mountain area, and the planting soil should be sandy loam soil with loose and fertile soil and good drainage, and it requires convenient land for drainage and irrigation. Avoid continuous cropping, turning deeply, raking fine, leveling the land before freezing in winter or thawing in spring, and applying sufficient basic fertilizer when ploughing, applying mature compost 1000-1500 kg per mu, making flat or high beds according to the topography and making drains.

2. Sowing seeds

When the seeds are ripe, the fruits are picked together, wrapped in paper towels or towels, dried in the sun, rubbed off the crown or used as seeds. Spread the seeds evenly on the border surface, cover with a thin layer of soil, cover with plastic film or straw, keep warm and moisturized, and begin to emerge about a week later, and can be planted after the soil is thawed in the spring of next year.

3. Field management

After the seedlings are unearthed, the plastic film and rice straw should be removed, checked frequently, and the seedlings should be replenished in time to increase the ventilation and light transmittance between the seedlings. The time of the seedlings is generally from April to May. When the seedlings are unearthed, the weak and diseased seedlings should be cleared, leaving the big to the small, and cultivating strong seedlings. After the seedling growth is neat, it should be combined with inter-seedling loosening soil and weeding, so as to avoid weeds affecting seedling growth and speed up the root system. Soil cultivation should be carried out in the last time of loosening soil and weeding, so as not to expose the plant buds to the ground and affect the quality.

4. Fertilizer and water management

Topdressing can be combined with mid-ploughing and weeding, but it requires topdressing in mid-ploughing first. each topdressing can be applied into compost with 1000 kg of plant ash per mu. In order to cause plant growth, there is generally no topdressing in the early stage, topdressing 1-2 times in autumn buds. 15 kg of nitrogen fertilizer and 8 kg of phosphorus fertilizer are applied each time. Plants need a certain amount of water to grow in spring, so if there is too much drought in spring, it should be watered in time, but it is also necessary to avoid stagnant water caused by the rainy season and take good drainage and waterlogging prevention measures.
