Fruit tree bonsai generally after 3 to 4 years of cultivation, can bear fruit. In order to make fruit trees see fruit in pots in the same year, the following methods are often used:

1. Apple, pear, peach, persimmon, citrus and other fruit trees that are not easy to root are transplanted into pots with 2 to 3-year-old rootstock seedlings that grow healthily in the air. After spring, fix the rootstock pot beside the selected variety branch and abut it. After the healing is firm, the scion below the joint part and the rootstock shoot above the joint part are respectively cut off to obtain a potted fruit tree with full fruit branches.

2. For fruit trees that are easy to cut and layering to take root, aerial layering method can be used. When pruning in winter, select the strong fruit mother branches, gently cut and put them long. After spring, strip 5 cm under the node to be rooted, then fill the pots with fertile sandy loam, fix them with brackets, and water them frequently to keep the pots moist. After one month, cut off half of the mother branch under the pot, cut off the mother branch one month before the fruit matures, and take down the flowerpot to obtain the plant with fruit.
