Attention

I still remember that when I was a child in the countryside, a vine was planted on the roof of my grandfather's house. in summer, clusters of grapes grew, and a few children just lay on the cement board and picked a bunch of grapes to eat. at that time, this was the most enjoyable time of childhood. Nowadays, many people also plant vines on their balconies, which can not only block the sun and lower the indoor temperature in summer, but also eat their own grapes when the vines bear fruit.

One: select the basin

The containers that can be used to make potted grapes are tile pots, wooden pots, plastic flowerpots and other containers with better air permeability. Generally choose a container with a diameter of 1.0 to 1.2 feet, and then change to a larger basin after 1 or 2 years.

Two: soil

The soil requires loam which is porous, fertile and rich in organic matter and calcium. We can use the nutrient soil mixed with rotten horse and cow dung and pastoral soil, fill it into the basin, pour it thoroughly, and plant it after the surface is dry and loose.

If there is no cow or horse dung, we can use rotten leaf soil, garden soil, coarse sand, bone powder, coarse sand (or slag) and expanded chicken dung, then seal it with plastic film, fumigate for one day and night, peel off the film and dry it for 3 Mau. after 4 days, the basin can be used.

Soil is critical and should be loosened regularly. But be careful not to hurt the root. If you see the soil in the basin as hard as stone, the vines will be dug up and replanted.

Or replace it with loose, breathable and nutritious rotten leaf soil. Add enough rotten fertilizer as base fertilizer. The basin soil should be raked loosely to enhance the properties of water seepage, water retention, air permeability and so on.

III. Fertilization

The principle of fertilizing potted grapes is to apply less diligently. Potted grapes can not be fertilized temporarily at the seedling stage and early planting stage. After the seedlings grow to 5-6 leaves, dilute liquid fertilizer is applied every 8 days.

After flowering and hanging fruit, the amount of nutrients required increases, and the times of fertilization can be increased appropriately. Pay attention to watering immediately after each application of liquid fertilizer.

Fourth, watering

Before and after germination, potted grapes are watered every 3 days, and it is better to water before 10:00 and after 4 p.m. When watering, the water temperature had better be close to the basin soil temperature, the summer air temperature is relatively high, and the evaporation is relatively large, so it should be watered sooner or later. When the autumn air temperature gradually decreases, the watering times gradually become less, and the basin soil should be moist. During the dormant period of deciduous leaves in winter, to keep the basin soil dry and wet, you can sprinkle some waterway leaves when watering.

Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests

If there is a disease, the grape can be sprayed with 3mur5 Baume sulfur mixture during the dormancy period. After germination, spray Bordeaux solution with a ratio of 1: 0.5 to 200 or 500 times compound carbendazim solution every 10 to 15 days, and the general disease can be prevented.

If abnormal phenomena such as brown spots and white powder are found on leaves, branches or ears, they should be cut off immediately to prevent spread, and Bordeaux solution should be sprayed to prevent and control them.

Potted grapes have few diseases in an environment with sufficient light and good ventilation.

VI. Lighting

The vine is very sensitive to light. The vine likes light and must be placed in a place where there is plenty of light.

7. Shelves

Some people will build some shelves on the balcony to facilitate grape climbing. Remember not to use iron or fast heat transfer shelves, preferably wooden ones.
