The method of barley worm culture
Barley insect is a kind of insect with high protein content. At present, the resources of protein feed in many livestock and poultry breeding are very scarce, not only in our country, but also in many countries. They even regard insect breeding as an important source of protein feed, and barley insect breeding is a very environmentally friendly and profitable project. So today let's learn how to raise barley worms.
1. Construction of breeding farms
As the living habits of barley insects are relatively special, then the location of the breeding farm needs to be decided according to his living habits. Generally, the breeding farm will be built in the sunny, windproof, but not too bright ground. The breeding farm belongs to which kind of house is warm in winter and cool in summer, and the area of the farm is not very large. Generally, three-dimensional culture can be used, so the space can be fully utilized. In the farm, there need to be cabinets, boxes, ponds, boxes, and so on. The length, width and height of general aquaculture boxes are about 70, 45, and 18 centimeters. At the same time, the four walls of the culture containers should be relatively smooth, so as to prevent some insect pests and make a good screen at the same time.
2. Selection of species and insects
When breeding, we all have to choose high-quality barley worms as seedlings, so as to ensure the yield and quality of barley worms. In general, we choose larger ones, fatter ones, and smoother and brighter ones. Full-bodied larvae are used as seed insects, so it is easier for such larvae to be fed, and the heredity of big cats to your offspring is relatively stable, so it is also of great benefit to later breeding.
3. Feeding density
The density of barley worms is also relatively important. Although barley worms are relatively small, thousands can be raised in a culture tank, but not too many. If the culture density is too high, barley insects will also squeeze, grab food and kill each other. Thus damage the body of barley insects, affecting their growth and reproduction, in general, we can raise about 3,000 to 4,000 larvae in each culture tank. There are 2, 000 to 3, 000 larvae and about 1500 adults. At the same time, we also need to breed them in groups according to their growth and specific conditions in various aspects.
4. Feeding method
The feeding of barley insects is very simple, it is a kind of omnivorous insects, we mainly feed green vegetables for juvenile larvae, which is beneficial to the growth and development of larvae. After a little bigger, we can eat corn flour, wheat bran, melons, fruits and vegetables, etc., but if we can use forage grass to feed barley worms, the economic benefits of breeding barley insects will be greatly improved.
5. Daily management
The most suitable temperature for barley insects to grow is between 18 and 30 degrees. If the temperature in the farm is lower than 6 degrees, they will go into hibernation, and if the temperature is higher than 39 degrees, they are likely to die. Barley insects have the highest spawning rate when the temperature is between 26 and 32 degrees, so we constantly adjust the temperature in the farm during their growth and development. At the same time, the humidity in the farm should generally be kept at about 65 to 70, and the residue should be cleaned up in time to prevent them from eating spoiled or unhealthy food, causing unnecessary losses. finally, it is necessary to carry out sanitary cleaning and disinfection from time to time.
