Quails are birds of the genus Quail, and the quail eggs that we usually eat are the eggs laid by quails. Not only quail eggs are popular in our market, quail meat is also a very delicious game. At present, the area of quail breeding in China is less, but it is also a kind of promising special breeding. However, many people want to raise but do not know how to raise them. Today, the editor has brought you quail breeding techniques. Let's take a look!

1. Choose a place to build a house

Quails like to live in quiet places, so we should choose places far away from urban areas, factories and other noisy but convenient places with convenient transportation. There is no pollution around the quail house and other poultry farms, there is plenty of water, the place where the sun is leeward is the most suitable for quail growth. The quail house can be built in accordance with the flat method to ensure that the quail house is warm in winter and cool in summer, with strong permeability, the height of the quail house shall not be less than two meters, the top of the quail house shall be paved with beams in accordance with the "in" pattern, and measures should be taken to prevent the quail house from being invaded by natural enemies such as rats and snakes to harm the growth of quails.

2. Variety selection

The selection of quail species is the key to determine whether you are successful in breeding. Observe the growth of young quails when selecting quails. Choose young with good growth, bright eyes, no difference in size, round head and neck, smooth and bright feathers, and moderate size. And according to their own breeding direction to determine the breeding species, such as egg breeding varieties are Baiyu, Longcheng, etc., choose about half a year of female and male species is the best. After selecting the species, they are raised in groups according to the proportion of male and female at 3:1 to promote quail mating, fertilization and egg production.

3. Incubation management

After fertilization and laying eggs, female quails naturally enter the incubation period, which is a more important stage. At this time, farmers should do a good job in hatching management to ensure that quail seedlings are strong and successful. About a week after the female quail laid eggs, the eggs with clean shell surface, reasonable and clear distribution of flower spots, almost the same specifications and normal shape were selected as breeding eggs. The breeding eggs are stored at a temperature of about 15 degrees and a relative humidity of about 78% in the air. The eggs are protected from direct sunlight and wind when stored, and the hatching rate can reach 4 beat 5 after about a week. Artificial hatching is mainly machine hatching, you can also use electric blankets and a variety of poultry hatching.

4. Update timely

Timely renewal refers to the timely sale of old quails that are infertile or reach a certain age, which is the key means to ensure that quails can always be raised efficiently. Because the growth life span of quails is short, the natural mortality rate of quails will increase greatly about one year after laying eggs. Therefore, we should eliminate some old quails with declining fertility in time and sell them as meat quails as dishes. This can not only provide one more source of economic income, but also prevent raising farming costs, reducing farming benefits and even leading to losses.

The above is a brief introduction to quail breeding technology. Quails have a short growth life, so let's not keep old quails all the time. Keeping the old quail not only increases the feed cost, but also can not provide enough benefit for the old quail. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only.
