Orchid grass is actually a different name for orchids. At present, there are many flower farmers planting orchid grass in China. As an ornamental plant, it is quite popular with everyone. This has a lot to do with the symbolic significance of orchid grass. So how do you plant bluegrass? The vast number of flower farmers friends can come and learn together.

1. Soil selection

When planting bluegrass, the soil of the breeding base is very important. The flower shed is similar to other flower sheds, but the soil should be treated carefully. First, the soil should be mixed with organic fertilizer, and then composted for a period of time, usually about a month. Secondly, a certain amount of fine sand should be added, and the ratio should be controlled at about 4:1, that is, 4 parts of soil need to be mixed with 1 part of sand, which is the early breeding soil. The soil for later transplantation should be controlled at 9 parts soil mixed with 1 part sand.

2. Fertilization treatment

Bluegrass has relatively low fertilizer requirements because the soil it grows on has already been composted. Therefore, a small amount of base fertilizer can be applied to landfill and pit bottom in the early stage, and a topdressing is needed before and after the long leaves in the later stage, mainly phosphorus fertilizer, so that the root system is more developed. In the middle and late stages, after more than 8-10 leaves, add nitrogen fertilizer to make more leaves. Continued topdressing depends on demand, and if growth is relatively slow check for fertilizer. Later growth to a certain extent can not be in topdressing. Bluegrass grows too big for survival.

3, watering treatment

Moisture is the majority of flower farmers should pay attention to, there are data show that flowers often do not grow normally due to improper watering caused. Watering needs to be done according to the soil moisture of the orchid planting area. When checking the surface soil for about 1 cm, it is necessary to water it in time when the knot plate appears and presents obvious dry color. Put the soil in your hand and squeeze it hard. If it is moist, you can temporarily leave it unwatered. The normal watering time is once every 3-5 days, and the interval time doubles when the weather becomes cold. Each time the water is evenly irrigated, the soil can be wetted by about 2-3 cm.

4. Breeding management

Florists should pay attention to the following details when managing orchids. The first is planting density, to ensure that there is no direct contact between the growth of bluegrass, otherwise the two will compete for fertilizer. Secondly, the fallen leaves should be taken away after inspecting the flower shed every day, so as not to leave virus sources. Bluegrass with pests and diseases needs to be isolated to avoid spreading. Generally, the soil for each planting is planted only once, and the second time it needs to be changed.
