Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Foliar fertilizer is indispensable in orchid cultivation. Foliar fertilizer is efficient and safe, and can quickly supplement the nutrient elements that orchids lack. Generally speaking, foliar fertilizer is best sprayed when the temperature is higher than 20 degrees Celsius-less than 30 degrees Celsius, so we do not spray it in midsummer or cold winter.

Foliar fertilizer is indispensable in raising orchids. Foliar fertilizer is efficient and safe, and can quickly supplement the nutrients that orchids lack. General foliar fertilizer in the temperature higher than 20 degrees---less than 30 degrees when spraying the best, so we do not spray foliar fertilizer in midsummer and winter.

Foliar fertilizer spraying can be combined with anti-bacterial, insecticidal, etc., most foliar fertilizer and these insecticides and fungicides do not conflict, can be mixed. Good farmers themselves commonly used: urea, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, carbendazim, mancozeb, killing chrysanthemum resin mixed in a pesticide box spraying, never appeared adverse reactions.

Foliar fertilizer spraying interval is generally half a month, but when you use it yourself, it is more than 20 days, sometimes more than a month interval. Because I think if foliar fertilizer is applied more, the nutrients needed by the orchid plant can be obtained from the leaves, and the orchid root will be lazy. Once the orchid root is lazy, it will form a vicious circle. In the end, the orchid root becomes weaker and weaker, and it will completely rely on foliar fertilizer, which will inevitably cause the degeneration of the orchid plant.

Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is generally not recommended root application, foliar fertilizer spraying effect is better. When the temperature is above 15 degrees--30 degrees, it is the best season for spraying potassium dihydrogen phosphate, 800 times of water, urea, bactericidal drugs and pesticides can be added together.

Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is generally sprayed once every 15 days, and once every 25 days if the seedlings are not weak. In autumn, potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be sprayed before budding, which can better differentiate flower buds.
