In Washington's Skagit Valley, there is a beautiful little flower farm! A few years ago, Erin Benzakein and his family left the hustle and bustle of city life for Washington's Skagit Valley in pursuit of a slower, simpler, more meaningful lifestyle.

They dream of eating fresh vegetables from their garden, raising a flock of chickens and cultivating a small orchard.

So Erin and his family built the 2-acre Floret flowers farm.

Erin has many titles. She is not only the founder and corporate spokesperson of Floret, but also a versatile photographer, writer, teacher, and winner of the 2014 Martha Stewart Flower Design Competition.

There must be some hardships behind every career that looks good, and it must be the same with running a flower farm. Their daily life is no different from that of farmers, taking care of the healthy growth of crops in the fields from morning to night.

It's just that they wander among the flower fields every day, and their hard work brings beautiful flowers.

Erin has made great efforts to revitalize the seasonal flower industry locally, encouraging people from all over the world to join the ranks of flower farmers and share their planting experiences with flower farmers. Erin's floral works are also often published in major newspapers and magazines.

Almost all the photos of Xiaohua Farm come from my brother Chris Benzakein, he is a solid backer of the farm, he seems to be able to solve all the problems of the farm!

He not only has to complete all the crop production, greenhouse construction, soil preparation, irrigation and harvesting on the farm, but also use the camera to capture the story of every flower on the farm all the time!

Erin's brother and sister and other family members are also in charge of other important work on the farm.

Erin's career does not stay in the flower farm, they continue to set up flower design studio and flower school, undertake wedding flower and so on.

As Floret becomes more and more successful, flowers on the farm are in short supply. For quite a long time, they can only tell their customers, "Sorry, it's sold out."

By common sense, Floret should expand the area of the farm, but they did not do so.

They think that instead of making their farm bigger, they should stay on their small 2-acre land, improve their production level and output efficiency, and teach this small-scale, high-density flower production technology to more flower farmers like them. so that more florists can succeed!
