Last Updated: 2024/11/09, First, the split can be combined with changing pots, or the young plants next to the mother plants can be dug up in the growing season, with or without roots, and can be planted directly. Rootless seedlings should be hung for 1-2 days, and the newly planted plants should be watered after the wound is dry.

Can be combined with pot change, can also be dug in the growing season next to the mother plant young plants, roots or no roots can survive, roots can be directly planted, rootless seedlings to air for 1~2 days, such as wounds dry after planting, newly planted plants should not be watered too much, so as not to cause rot, such as new roots after normal management.

II. Cutting

Yulu in the lower part of the plant leaf axil long bud, for difficult to bud species, plant center growth point can be destroyed to promote bud germination. After the small bud grows to 2~3 cm, take it down and air it for 2~3 days. After the wound is dry, cut it in the culture soil and keep the soil semi-dry after insertion. After 2~3 weeks, new roots can grow.

III. Leaf insertion

Can choose robust fleshy leaves, growth period in vermiculite or coarse sand and other good drainage matrix cuttings, after insertion to keep the pot soil slightly moist, fleshy leaves easy to root, and grow small buds, such as small buds slightly larger and then planted separately.

IV. Sowing

Only through artificial pollination can the dew bear seeds. Generally, it is carried out on a sunny morning when flowering. The method is to select two plants that bloom at the same time. It can also be pollinated by varieties such as Shou and Vientiane, which belong to the same 12-volume genus. Parents require compact plant type, plump leaves, high transparency of "window", remove petals during pollination, take pollen and smear it on the stigma of another flower, or take pollen in the afternoon of the previous day, carefully preserve it, and pollinate the next morning, with a high success rate. Wait until the seeds are ripe before sowing. Seeds can be picked and sown at the same time. The sowing soil can be mixed with vermiculite 3 parts, rotten leaf soil or peat soil 2 parts. It is best to disinfect the soil at high temperature before sowing to eliminate germs and eggs in the soil. After sowing, cover with glass sheet and emerge in about 20 days. Remove the glass after emergence, pay attention to ventilation, do not make the soil too dry, when the seedlings are overcrowded, pay attention to seedling transplanting.

There may be some variation plants in the seedlings. Young plants with compact plant type, thick fleshy leaves, high transparency of "window" and obvious veins can be selected as seedlings for preservation. If there are seedlings with different leaf colors, they should also be preserved. Perhaps they are precious variegated plants.
