Coconut is a very popular tropical fruit, which is mainly produced in Hainan. It has a wide range of use value. There are many foods with coconut as raw materials on the market, especially coconut milk and coconut meat are suitable for both young and old. They are very popular in the market, sales and economic value are very considerable, so there are more and more friends who grow coconut. Well, today, the editor is here to introduce to you the points for attention in growing coconuts. Let's learn it together.

1. Time

The time of coconut planting mainly has a lot to do with the local climatic conditions. in general, for example, the temperature in Hainan is relatively mild throughout the year, so we will choose to plant it, that is, in April and May. The rainfall at this time is also relatively large, and the temperature is basically up to the standard needed to grow coconuts, so we need to find the right time for planting. At the same time, there are some places that can be planted in September and October, which is also very good conditions.

2. Temperature

The temperature suitable for coconut growth is generally about 25 to 28 degrees, of which the lowest growth temperature should not be lower than 13 degrees, and the highest temperature should not be higher than 38 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is lower than 13 degrees, coconut trees will enter the dormancy stage so that they will not blossom and bear fruit. Although coconuts like high temperature and rainy environment, the temperature should not be too high, otherwise it will also damage the coconut water itself, thus affecting the fruit yield of coconut trees, so we strictly monitor the temperature of traditional Chinese medicine in the usual admission management. and reasonable regulation and control.

3. Density

The density of coconut planting is mainly divided into two stages. the first is the seedling stage, when the coconut trees are still relatively small, so in order to make full use of land resources, they are generally planted at a distance of 40 to 45 centimeters per row and 35 to 40 centimeters per plant. When the coconut seedlings grow to a certain size, they need to be transplanted. when transplanting, you should pay attention to bring the original base soil, so that the survival rate will be higher, and then plant each plant at a distance of six to seven meters according to eight to nine meters per behavior. this density can enable each coconut tree to carry out full photosynthesis and how to increase coconut yield.

4. Fertilizer and water

Check the survival of the coconut tree seven to ten days after planting, and replenish the seedlings in time, and then properly block the sun so as not to damage the growth of the root system, and water reasonably. The growth of coconut needs a lot of nutrients, mainly potash fertilizer, which can increase the amount of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer. If the stem of coconut tree is found to be very thin, showing symptoms of withering, the phenomenon of lack of potassium fertilizer is found. So even if you want to apply fertilizer, and coconut yellowing requires the application of chlorine fertilizer, each fertilization is carried out by trenching and ring application, and only two fertilizers are needed in a year, that is, around April and May in spring and December in winter.

5. Diseases and insect pests

Coconut pest control requires us to pay special attention to one place, in which the main diseases and pests that harm the growth of coconut trees are diarrheal disease and red brown elephant larvae, scale insects and coconut rhinoceros, etc., we need to dig up the damaged parts, and then apply a layer of Bordeaux solution for disinfection and control, while pests can be trapped and killed with tar, ammonium thiophor and rotting dried coconut respectively.
