Hanging orchid is a very common flower in life, when it grows well, the leaves hang down, especially beautiful, people like it very much. However, some conditions often occur when raising hanging orchids, the yellowing of leaves is common, but many people do not know what is going on and can not get them back to normal. So, what is the reason why the leaves of Cymbidium are yellow? Today, I would like to introduce to you a few reasons to learn from the old florist to make it back to normal.

1. Yellowing of leaves caused by improper fertilization

When Cymbidium is growing, it needs to be fertilized, but pay attention to the amount of fertilizer, do not fertilize too much, if too much fertilizer may cause root burning of Cymbidium, so hurt the root of Cymbidium, the root can not normally absorb nutrients for the growth of Cymbidium, Cymbidium is easy to appear yellow leaves.

Solution: if there are yellow leaves due to improper fertilization, you can pour more water to the orchid to dilute the amount of fertilizer in the basin. If it still doesn't work, you need to change the soil for the orchid, wash the root of the orchid with clean water, and then replant it with a new pot.

2. Lack of nutrient elements

The orchid needs some nutrient elements when growing, but if it is not supplemented for a long time, the original nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other elements in the soil will be exhausted, and if it is not replenished in time at this time, it is easy to make the orchid appear yellow leaves because of the lack of these elements.

Solution: you can replace the new soil for the orchid in time, so as to supplement the lack of nutrients in the original soil, or you can pour some alum fertilizer water for it, which will supplement the soil nutrients and restore the green leaves.

3. Yellow leaves caused by insufficient sunlight

Although the hanging orchid does not like too much sunlight, it also needs scattered light during normal maintenance. If you put the hanging orchid in a place where there is no sunshine for a long time, for a long time, it will make the hanging orchid because of the lack of light and let the leaves appear yellow because of the lack of photosynthesis.

Solution: put the orchid in a place where scattered light can be irradiated to maintain, so that it has enough light time for photosynthesis. If you put it in a dark place for maintenance, you should also move it to the sun to receive scattered light. But be careful not to expose yourself to the sun, especially in summer when you want proper shade.

4. The basin soil growing in Chlorophyllum has poor air permeability.

The growth of Cymbidium needs soil with good air permeability, if the permeability of the soil is not good, it is easy to have stagnant water in basin soil, and if the time of water accumulation in basin soil is too long, it will make it more difficult for the root to breathe, so it is easy for Cymbidium to have yellow leaves.

Solution: provide the orchid with good breathable soil, and at the same time, when choosing the hanging orchid basin, it is best to choose the basin with empty bottom, so that you can keep the soil moist, but not stagnant water, so that the hanging orchid can grow better.
