Wasps are also called wasps, and at the same time, some people call them wasps or wasps. Because the economic benefit of wasps is extremely high, and the market prospect is broad, and the use value of wasps is not very good now, there are many farmers who specialize in raising wasps for a living. So how do wasps breed? Today, let's learn how to raise wasps.

1. Culture preparation

The wasp is actually a very dangerous creature, so we should make full preparations before breeding. First of all, we need to make a bee cage for raising wasps, which can generally be made of wood or iron sand mesh. Each beehive should have a certain space for movement, so the length, width and height should be at least about 30 to 40 centimeters. The second is to build a good beekeeping shed, you can use a glass greenhouse, factory building or build a special beekeeping shed, the area of the beekeeping shed needs to be determined according to the number of beekeeping. Finally, it is to use wood to build a beehive, not only to ensure that there is sufficient space for movement, but also to do a good job of hooks and trapdoors, surrounded by gauze.

2. Bee colony purchase

Wasps can be introduced by themselves, that is, they can catch wasps in places where there are wasps in September and October every year, but in this way the risk coefficient is higher, and the captured wasps are also more vulnerable to injury. so now if you breed wasps, you can go to a special farm to collect bees, but it's best to choose a colony in April and May, so that the colony is more stable and easy to feed. When selecting bees, we should observe at the door of the hive to see the entry and exit of worker bees and the proportion of pollen collected, and then open the door of the box to see whether their reactions are more intense or mild, and the second is to observe the condition of the queen bee and whether the fecundity is up to standard. finally, observe the colony arrangement of wasps and choose the best colony for breeding.

3. Feeding and management

Feeding attention is divided into three ways, subsidized feeding, rewarding feeding and pollen feeding. Generally, subsidized feeding should not be carried out when the honey source is relatively sufficient, and it is only needed when the honey source is deficient. It is usually raised after honey is heated with water or white sugar is dissolved in hot water. Reward feeding is carried out during the wasp breeding period and bee manufacturing period, which mainly depends on manual feeding, usually with honey or syrup every other day. Pollen feeding is mainly to supplement protein, can be raised with pollen, but also can be replaced by soybean powder.

4. Daily management

In the daily management, we should pay attention to the quality of drinking water and the amount of water, at the same time, put wet towels on the water containers, and we can also add a little salt to the water, which can play an anti-inflammatory role. The bee cage should be placed in a well-ventilated place, and the humidity and temperature in the cage should not be too high. finally, attention should be paid to the sanitary management of the farm, cleaning and disinfection from time to time.

5. Points for attention

There are still some things we need to pay attention to when raising wasps, for example, brown sugar can not be used for feeding in captivity, because brown sugar is absorbed and digested slowly, so the growth of wasps has a great impact. The second is to keep the breeding environment quiet, at the same time to stay away from the crowd and flower or crop planting, and to pay attention to the harm of insects and mice to wasps, and finally to strengthen the management of bee colonies during the overwintering period.
