The planting method of Croton
Croton is a more commonly used medicinal material, we all know that accidental consumption of Croton will cause abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms, it is the main ingredient in laxatives, usually used for disinfection, edema and convenience, Croton is toxic, so it can not be used casually. At present, Croton is mainly produced in Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan, so how is Croton planted? Next, let's take a look at the planting method of Croton.
1. Soil preparation and fertilization
Croton is suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment, and it can be planted in any soil where the water source is abundant, so when selecting the land, you only need to consider the wind in addition to the problem line of water source. it is best to choose a place that can be put away from the wind, and the soil is better irrigated relatively fertile. The soil preparation is divided into seedling land and planting land, the soil of the seedling land should be granular and free of impurities, and the planting land needs to be dug after deep turning, and then sprinkled with sufficient fertilizer can wait for planting.
2. Sowing and raising seedlings
We usually choose to sow before and after the rain, which can promote the seed germination speed and improve the seed germination rate, and trench the whole seedling field, but can not be carried out by strip sowing, according to the distance of about 10 to 20 centimeters between each row, then spread the seeds evenly in the ditch and cover the seeds with soil.
3. Seedling stage management
The emergence time of Croton seedlings will be relatively long, and after the seedlings grow out, they will be managed according to their growth conditions. When the weather is dry, they generally need to be watered every three to four days or so. At the same time, appropriate amount of fertilizer is applied according to the growth of seedlings, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, or can be irrigated with fecal and urine water. Secondly, weeding should be carried out reasonably to prevent nutrients from being consumed by weeds. Affect the growth of Croton seedlings.
4. Transplanting and planting
When the bean seedlings grow to about 20 centimeters, they are transplanted. in general, they are planted according to the distance between each row is three meters and the distance between each plant is about 2.5 meters. it is best to choose before and after cloudy or rainy days when planting, which can improve the survival rate of Croton seedlings.
5. Field management
After a week of planting, we need to check the growth of Croton in the field, replenish the seedlings in time, and apply fertilizer for the first time, so that the seedlings in the field can be made up, and then in the middle of Croton's growth, if the branches are found to be thin and the leaves turn yellow, then we need to apply one more urea, and the second is to wait until Croton blossoms and bears beans for the third time. Mainly potash fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer and ternary compound fertilizer, at the same time, in order to avoid the aging of branches and leaves, we can apply an appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer, each fertilization should be combined with ploughing and watering.
6. Pest control
Croton's resistance is very light, and there are basically no diseases and insect pests throughout its growing period, and a large part of the reason is that it is toxic, so it can play a very good protective role. but there is another kind of pest it is not afraid of death, that is inchworm, we can also use trichlorfon to control.
