Flowers & plants

Aloe leaves are thick. I believe many flower friends have plants in their homes. Do you know how aloe vera is easy to explode? At the beginning of the following, the editor will teach you how to make aloe grow lateral buds and burst the basin easily!

1. Soil selection

Aloe is suitable for growing in sandy soil with good permeability and drainage, and the soil can choose rotten leaf soil + garden soil, and then mixed with some river sand or perlite, so as to ensure the air permeability and drainage of the soil, and will not cause rotting roots because of stagnant water.

2. Control watering

Aloe is a drought-tolerant plant, afraid of moisture, too much watering can easily cause aloe root rot, and then rotten leaves until death. If you want aloe to grow well, you should keep the basin soil moderately dry. The basin soil is completely dry and then watered, so that it is moderately affected by drought, which can promote it to sprout more lateral buds.

3. Lighting requirements

Aloe likes light, spring and autumn can make it accept more direct sunlight, summer needs proper shade, if the light is too strong, the leaves will turn red, then we have to move it to the shade to maintain, after a period of time will recover. In autumn and winter, we should move it indoors and choose a place with good light for maintenance.

4. Suitable temperature

The best temperature for aloe growth is 20-30 ℃. When the temperature is lower than 10 ℃, it will enter the dormancy period, and when the temperature is below 0 ℃, aloe will freeze to death.

5. Regular fertilization

Aloe vera does not have high requirements for fertilizer, but proper fertilization can also make its growth more exuberant. We can top apply 1000-1500 times of general liquid fertilizer every half month during the growing period. If a sufficient amount of base fertilizer is mixed into the soil during planting, there is no need to apply fertilizer during the growing period, and the base fertilizer can be fermented organic fertilizer, cake fertilizer, chicken manure, compost and so on.

Tips

Aloe vera grows faster, we can change the basin and soil once a year in spring. Summer is the peak growth season of aloe, so it is appropriate to increase watering, and the basin soil is moist and dry. As the temperature decreases in autumn and winter, the watering times of aloe should be reduced when entering the dormant period, and the basin soil should not be dry or dry.
