Seedling-raising techniques of Cabbage
Cabbage is one of the most important vegetables in China, which is cultivated all over the country. It can be used as vegetables and feed, and has excellent medicinal value. In cabbage production, its seedling technology is very important, related to the future yield and quality, the following with the editor to take a look at the details of cabbage seedling technology.
1. Select improved varieties
Select the improved varieties according to the local planting environment and planting time. For example, the varieties with early maturity, high yield and strong disease resistance can be selected in the open field in spring, but if they are planted in the greenhouse in early spring, the varieties with strong cold tolerance and disease resistance should be selected.
2. Seedbed preparation
The seedbed should choose plots with loose and fertile soil, rich in organic matter and good drainage, and cruciferous vegetables have not been planted in the previous crop. The size of the seedbed depends on the planting scale, rake and level the soil of the seedbed, apply 5000 kg of fully mature organic fertilizer and 50 kg of high concentration ternary compound fertilizer per mu, spread it evenly on the ground and mix it with the soil evenly, so that the seedbed is ready.
3. Sowing seeds at the right time
The spring sowing time of cabbage is usually from December to January, and warm water or medicament should be used to disinfect the cabbage before sowing. Soak the seeds in warm water, soak the seeds in warm water of 50-60 degrees, stir and soak for more than ten minutes, then soak the seeds in clear water for 12 hours; soak the seeds with 75% chlorothalonil 800 times solution for 12 hours. In this way, the germs and eggs carried by the seeds can be eliminated, and the occurrence of diseases and insect pests can be reduced. After soaking the seeds, germination can also be accelerated in the greenhouse, but there is no need for coating. When sowing, the soil should have a certain degree of humidity. If it is too dry, it should be watered once and after sowing. If the humidity is just right, it should be watered after sowing. Strip sowing and on-demand sowing can be used to sow seeds with a row spacing of 4 × 4cm and sowing seeds of 2-2.5kg per mu. After sowing, they are covered with fine soil with 1cm thickness, and then covered with rice straw or plastic film to keep the soil moist and speed up seedling emergence.
4. Seedling stage management
It is necessary to do a good job in temperature, light, water and fertilizer management after sowing. Cabbage likes mild climate, can also withstand high and low temperature, can sprout slowly at 2-3 degrees, keep the temperature at 15-25 degrees after sowing, and complete seedlings within about a week. after finishing the seedlings, the temperature should be controlled at 10-20 degrees to prevent the seedlings from growing too fast. If the planting density is high, there should be time seedlings, when the seedlings grow 2-3 true leaves, the seedlings should be divided, at this stage, sufficient light should be provided and disease control measures should be taken, but when the seedlings grow to 5-6 true leaves, they can be transplanted.
