Zheng Wencan, mayor of Taoyuan City, went to Taoyuan City Gymnasium yesterday (27) morning to attend the "107 Taoyuan Food Safety Carnival opening ceremony". Mayor Zheng Wencan said that Taoyuan City Health Bureau has held Food Safety Carnival since (106). This (107) year is the second. It will be held in Taoyuan City Gymnasium for four days from today to September 30. About 180 manufacturers participated in the exhibition. Let everyone know the five rings of food safety, experience safe and delicious food, and increase local consumption and enhance brand awareness. The Taoyuan Municipal Government will continue to hold the Food and Security Carnival, which will become a characteristic activity of Taoyuan.
Mayor Zheng Wencan said that the "Taoyuan Food Safety Carnival" includes eight exhibition areas and two experience areas, combining the five rings of food safety with the four main axes of "local", "interactive", "delicious" and "healthy" to let everyone know about food safety. Taoyuan municipal government actively promotes food safety work, including: taking the lead in setting up a 50 million yuan food safety fund; setting up a food safety inspection brigade to improve the quality of inspection; and forming a food safety advisory committee and a food legal advisory team to improve the professionalism of food safety work. Employees are encouraged to report and give rewards, and the Taoyuan Municipal Health Bureau also won the special prize and 35 million yuan bonus of the "pilot Plan for rewarding Local governments to strengthen Food Safety Management Program" of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The bonus was used for the first Taoyuan Food Safety Carnival, and the second this year was funded by the municipal government. Hold a "Taoyuan Chinese Medicine Safety, Health and Happiness Party" to enable people to know more about food safety and traditional Chinese medicine.
