Artificial culture method of snail
Many people think that snails are field snails, but they are not. Snails and field snails just look alike. Snails are endemic to China, but field snails are found almost everywhere in the world. The snails we often eat are made of snails, so the demand for snails is also relatively large. There are also more people who breed snails, and snails are not the same as field snails, so how to cultivate snails? Today, the editor brought the method of snail culture, let's take a look at it!
1. Select the pond
Snails are very adaptable and can survive where there is water and mud. However, artificial farming still needs to control the environment of the pond, the specific area depends on the number of our farming. The depth of the pond should not be less than 1 meter, the slope of the pond should be properly inclined, and there should be some silt at the bottom of the pond. The silt should not be too thick and there should be no pollution sources around it, which is disadvantageous to the meat quality of snails.
2. Clear the pond and disinfect
After the pond is selected, the pond should be cleaned, the surrounding pond stalks should be done well, the silt in the pond should be controlled, and the excess silt should be cleared out. Then use quicklime to sprinkle the whole pond for complete disinfection. Quicklime powder can not only kill bacteria, but also increase the amount of calcium in the pond. Promote the growth of snails and reduce the incidence of disease in the process of culture.
3. Timely stocking
Select snail species before stocking and choose larvae that are disease-free, injury-free and parasitic. Then wait until the effect of the disinfectant in the pond disappears before planting around the Beginning of Spring. Control the breeding density, although the snail is relatively small, but can not breed too much, want to breed a high-quality snail should be as sparse as possible. When breeding, it can be properly mixed with herbivorous fish to increase an economic source.
4. Reproduction management
Snail farming begins to ovulate every spring and autumn in much the same way as some herbivorous fish. About 20 days after spawning, the young snails will begin to look for food, and we need to control the feeding of bait. Snail food is mainly plankton, we can also feed some vegetable cake dregs, follow the principle of feeding a small number of snails to ensure the growth of snails.
5. Daily management
The most important problem of breeding snails is the water quality. Unlike fish, snails need more fertile water quality. If it is found that the water quality begins to change color, it is the decline of fertility, we should properly apply some water and fertilizer to improve the fertility of the water quality. Regular observation of snail eating and dissolved oxygen content, to prevent anomalies, so that we can take timely measures.
The above is a brief introduction to the methods of snail culture. Snails are relatively simple, but if you want to cultivate high-quality snails, you need to make some efforts. However, it is absolutely impossible to follow the farming method of field snails, which prefer to live on the slopes of ponds. And snails crawl at the bottom of the pond for a long time, which determines different ways of breeding. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it will be helpful to you.
