It is rich in vitamins and other trace elements and nutrients, especially with the improvement of living standards. So pay more attention to the combination of meat and vegetables, which is more beneficial to the body, and it is of great benefit to eat more green vegetables. So today let's take a look at how cabbage hearts are grown.

1. Variety selection

Now there are many varieties of Chinese cabbage, such as red cabbage, Chinese cabbage, forty-nine cabbage, green cabbage, willow cabbage, and so on. We need to choose suitable varieties to plant according to the local climate, planting conditions, market demand and market conditions, so as to achieve the greatest economic benefits. If you think Hunan, it is more suitable for growing red cabbage, its sales volume, price, local climate and environment are more suitable for planting.

2. Sowing seeds at the right time

Now there are many varieties of Chinese cabbage, so it can be planted by different varieties of Chinese cabbage in different seasons. secondly, the technology of growing vegetables out of season is becoming more and more perfect, so there is no clear stipulation on the time of planting. However, it is generally planted in March and August and September every year, and the hearts planted in these two periods belong to the normal planting time. It is the best time for Chinese cabbage heart to grow, and the quality of Chinese cabbage heart planted during this period is better.

3. Sowing method

There are three most commonly used planting methods of Chinese cabbage, which are direct seeding, strip sowing and seedling transplanting. The main purpose of direct seeding is to sprinkle the seeds evenly on the whole ground, and wait for interseedling and replenishment after emergence, generally according to the distance of 20 to 30 centimeters, each plant only needs to leave two seedlings. Strip sowing first needs to make small ditches 10 centimeters wide and three to five centimeters deep according to the distance of 30 centimeters between each row, then evenly sow the seeds into the ditch to cover the seeds, and finally replenish the seedlings at a distance of about 25 centimeters after emergence. For fish fry transplanting, you need to cultivate the cabbage fry first, and then send a letter to you according to the distance of 30 to 35 centimeters per row and 20 to 25 centimeters per plant.

4. Field management

The field management of Chinese cabbage is mainly fertilization, watering and weeding. Fertilization needs to be carried out according to the growth habits of Chinese cabbage. The first fertilization is generally after planting, and the second fertilization is at the beginning of the formation of Chinese cabbage. The second is to apply fertilizer after each harvest of Chinese cabbage, which can be combined with weeding every time, which can reduce the loss of nutrients and promote the absorption of nutrients. Chinese cabbage has a large demand for water, so we should keep the moisture in the field at about 70%, and we need to water it every other week or so when there is no rain. finally, when Rain Water is more, we should discharge the water out of the field in time, so as not to affect the growth of Chinese cabbage.

5. Pest control

At present, the resistance of Chinese cabbage is relatively strong, and there are basically no diseases, of which the most common are cabbage aphids, rollers and moths. These pests mainly harm the stems and leaves of Chinese cabbage. The main edible part of Chinese cabbage is its tender stems and leaves. When pests occur, we can use trichlorfon or dimethoate milk to treat them. Finally, it should be noted that no chemicals can be sprayed about half a month before harvest, which will affect the quality of cabbage heart and may even cause food poisoning in serious cases.

6. Rational harvesting

Cabbage hearts can be harvested many times, usually when they grow to about 15 to 20 centimeters, usually cut off from the vegetable plate, then fertilized and watered, and repeat the same thing after each harvest. Basically, new cabbage hearts can be harvested every four or five days or so, and at least 10 to 20 times per stubble.
