Burdock is a kind of improved vegetable introduced from abroad, which is very similar to yam in appearance, but there are some differences. People who are not familiar with these two kinds of vegetables are very easy to admit their mistakes. Burdock is also known as Oriental Ginseng. It can not only prevent cancer but also treat some minor ailments in daily life. It is a kind of pure natural nutrition, and it is a very good choice for people who are in good health. So how to manage the field when planting burdock? Let's take a look at it next.

1. Check and replenish seedlings

Burdock basically emerges about a week after planting, so we need to check the emergence of burdock in the field as soon as possible to see if all the seedlings in the field are all emerging, then find out the reason for the emergence, and replenish the seedlings in time. Seedling replenishment should be carried out before and after cloudy or rainy days, so that the survival rate of burdock replanted will be higher, and finally, we should pay attention to the fact that the seedlings must be completed within seven days. This is convenient for unified management in the later stage.

2. Seedling colonization.

At the same time of replenishing seedlings, we need to observe whether there are places in the field where the seedling length is relatively dense, and if so, we need to carry out seedlings in time. In general, each plant only needs to leave a few seedlings, and the surplus should be pulled out in time, so as not to consume too much nutrients and weaken the fertility of the soil. The second is to plant according to the distance of 35 to 40 centimeters per behavior and 25 to 30 centimeters per plant.

3. Ploughing and weeding

The growth rate of burdock is relatively slow, so it is necessary to carry out intermediate ploughing and weeding when planting, which can give air to the land, promote the growth of roots, and at the same time promote the absorption of nutrients. Under normal planting conditions, burdock needs about four to five times of ploughing and weeding in the whole growth process, and the first one is about three days after planting. After that, we need to carry out scientific ploughing and weeding according to the growth of burdock, and control the time of weeding by ourselves.

4. Scientific fertilizer and water

If there is no rain when replenishing seedlings, then watering must be carried out in time after replenishing seedlings, otherwise the survival rate of the plant will be affected. Secondly, in the whole growth process of burdock, the soil moisture in the field should be kept above 60%. Only in this way can we maintain the moisture needed for the normal growth of burdock. Each watering is mainly based on the dryness and wetness of the field soil for watering and drainage. Burdock will not be topdressing until the second year after planting, according to the standard of 2,000 jin of organic fertilizer and 30 jin of phosphate fertilizer per mu, spread evenly in the middle of the interval, and then combine with ploughing to turn the fertilizer into the soil. then, when burdock blossoms, some foliar fertilizer can be applied appropriately, which can promote the growth of burdock and ensure the quality of burdock.

5. Pest control

The most common diseases and insect pests of burdock are black spot and aphids. Brown spot is a fungal disease mainly caused by high temperature and high humidity, which mainly harms the stems and leaves of burdock, so we should strengthen water management in the field and fertilize reasonably. enhance plant immunity, followed by chlorothalonil control, generally need to spray three or four times to cure. Aphids basically run through the whole growth process of burdock, which affects the growth of plants and does great harm to stems and leaves. We can use yellow board to trap and kill, at the same time, we can use aldicarb wettable powder to kill.
