After the Mid-Autumn Festival, there is no summer heat, and the potted plants at home are also in the stage of rapid growth. For me, who loves succulent plants, I will certainly plant more succulent plants in this season. After all, pots take root quickly, and some plants can be propagated by cuttings. It can greatly improve the survival rate of plants after cutting. Today, I would like to introduce to you three flowers that are most suitable for cutting propagation.

The first is longevity flowers, there are many ways of cutting, first talk about "wood cuttings", pinch 6-10 cm long branches, to take more than two leaves. When cutting, the branches and leaves should be cut as high as possible, and the lower end of the cut is generally oblique, preferably 2mm away from the bottom bud eye, which is conducive to rooting.

At this time, it should be noted that the upper mouth should be flat and more than 4mm away from the top bud, to avoid moisture loss after the upper incision dry discoloration, resulting in cutting failure. Directly inserted into the medium, the better insertion depth is 2 prime 3, and then compacted, which can be watered once. After that, just keep the medium moist. Remember not to water or spray too much, as it will easily cause succulent leaves and stems to rot.

Of course, the leaves of longevity flowers can also be used to reproduce. We can call this method "leaf cutting". The leaves of longevity flowers can be cut all year round, but summer and autumn are the easiest to live. Before cutting, prepare the flowerpot, in which it is best to put sandy loam with good drainage. The specific method is to select a few strong leaves from the longevity flowers and cut them with scissors or knives. Then leave it in a cool and ventilated place to dry.

You can select a number of larger and healthy leaves, pick them off and hang them properly, which can improve the survival rate. Then the sandy loam soil is put into the basin, the petiole is buried in the soil, and the leaves should be exposed. Be careful not to bury them too deep, just put them in a cool and ventilated place. What you need to know is that longevity flowers take root slowly. Some people have waited four or five months to take root. You need to be patient enough. When you find the soil is very dry, you should pour some water to keep it moist.

The second kind is green pineapple, which is generally propagated by cutting. The stem segment with aerial root was directly inserted into plain sand or vermiculite at the depth of 1 × 3 of the cuttings, drenched with enough water, placed in a shaded place, sprayed with water or covered with plastic film to moisturize the leaves every day, and the ambient temperature was not less than 20 ℃. If you need to cut new branches, just cut the branches with air roots and plant them horizontally in the soil. You can also take the method of pressing branches, bury the branches in the soil, then pour enough water, and place the new branches of the cuttings in a shady place. After half a month, the new branches of the cuttings will sprout.
