1. Childhood

Amano's obsession with aquatic ecology began when he was a child. when he was a child, there was a natural treasure house near his hometown in Kumachi, a shoal called "Maili" in Kumachi. When he was a child, he often joined hands with five, six children's gangs to catch small fish.

Once upon a time in Kumachi, Amano used to play when he was a child.

In the shallows, there are all kinds of small fish, shrimp, salamanders, turtles, dragonflies, water beetles and so on. And the water is clear to the bottom, the aquatic plants are illuminated by the sun, sparkling, swinging with the breeze, very beautiful! Diving into the water wearing goggles, I saw the small fish hiding in the water plants, and the water plants appeared stingy beads to the surface of the water. The sparkle of those stingy beads attracted me deeply and made me marvel and moved the world in the water! Amano Shang said: I will also take this home, put it in the fish tank, and look at it every day!

When Amano was still a teenager, he especially liked the yellow, purple and pink crucian carp and Korean crucian carp. After catching them, he put them in his boots and took them home to try raising them.

You need to run two to three kilometers when you go home from armor. Because you have taken short boots to load the fish, you can only walk home barefoot. The place is full of sand roads, and your feet are badly cut. When you come home, the poor little fish have already turned white and died. It is like a bolt from the blue. Maybe there is no oxygen in the hot boots. If I hadn't brought them back, I wouldn't have died. Poor thing! Amano said with a little self-remorse. What a scholar who attaches great importance to environmental conservation!

Showing those dead little fish to her grandmother, she was scolded so badly that she drank, "what's the point of catching that?" What a strange child!

Later, I tried to add some aquatic plants and put them into short boots with the fish to take them back, because oxygen was released from the aquatic plants and direct sunlight was avoided, so I successfully brought the little fish home alive. At that time, I thought, the aquatic plants are really amazing! Amano continued.

Amano started raising small fish with empty candy bottles in the second and third grade, and promised to challenge his aquatic world by the sixth grade.

At first, the thin iron sheet bought by the hardware store is used to fix the frame, and then it is pasted with soft glue, about the size of the fish tank that can be held in both hands.

But when the water injection reached about 2/3, the glass was broken! I got the floor wet and was scolded half to death by my parents. Even so, I still used the soil from growing vegetables to put in the aquatic plants I picked and borrowed my brother's book lamp for lighting.

two。 Choice

As a child, Meng Amano was born in Xipu District, Kumachi, Niigata Prefecture. The three brothers are the youngest. They have been running around since childhood and have developed a wandering character. Little Amano has already rode his bike everywhere, and in middle school, he often goes north by bike. Hiking to Akita Prefecture and other places in the northeast.

During the period from the second year of high school to the graduation of college, Amano ran to Tokyo by bike a total of eight times. At first, his parents were a little worried, but after they were admitted to college, they did not complain and were relieved. Perhaps because of the amazing stamina and stamina developed from an early age, it is possible to become a cyclist in the future!

When I first went to Tokyo by bike, I went to the aquarium in Ueno to see the giant freshwater fish named "Piraruku" caught by the Amazon River in South America (photo). This fish is known as the king of Amazon, a giant fish more than three meters long! Amano Shang said.

For a long time, I have been looking forward to nature, especially some undeveloped natural mountain areas. Whenever there is a program about the Amazon on TV, I can't take my eyes off it, so I hope to see the giant fish "Piraruku" with my own eyes.

When I was a teenager, I had pocket money to go to Tokyo! There is only infinite energy, only to go by bike! Amano described the naive ideas of Marquis when he was young.

At that time, it took more than 20 hours to ride alone to Ueno in Tokyo, and I stepped on my feet endlessly.

Classmates and friends came to see them off to the former national highway of Baigen City, and the scene at that time was still vivid in my mind, just like sailing to other places! Amano said proudly.

When I went to a commercial university (Yoshida University), I joined the school cycling team, attended the inter-school competition, and also won awards. I was admitted to the university after graduation, of course, I was also a member of the team. At that time, I began to consider the way to become a professional cyclist! Amano said.

Because of the single team, I can almost certainly be admitted to Tokyo Chengchi University, but to be honest, I am not interested at all!

However, I have my own dream. From childhood to childhood, I am very interested in small creatures and photography, especially some ecological photography. Unfortunately, I do not have the money to buy a camera. I also want to go to places such as the Amazon in South America, and I also want to buy equipment for growing aquatic plants. Amano continued.

good! Let me become a professional cyclist, make money, to fulfill my dream! Amano decided the way to be a professional cyclist because of this dream.

When the coach of the single team knew what I was thinking, he almost killed me! Amano said with a smile.

As a result, Amano finally tried the hoof sound at the beginning of 1974 after a series of training and examinations in a single team, and retired in 1990, during which he has been active in the professional cycling industry for 16 years.

In the first game, I won the first place with a prize of more than 200,000 yen (about $16000 Hong Kong dollars). I spent all my money on a Nikon SLR camera, standard lens and macro lens. This camera was a high-end product at that time. I was surprised and delighted to take it. Amano still speaks eloquently.

After buying a camera, I first went to visit the islands southwest of Japan. When I was in my twenties, I had already traveled to and from the islands, dragonflies, tree frogs and other ecological photos there in three years, and I couldn't remember how many I had taken! Amano said contentedly.

Amano Shang's photos and cameras are never lent to others, and are often called "strange cyclists", "strange people", "strange people" and other strange titles by people around him. Amano Shang, whose dream comes true, manages his aquatic kingdom today. The ADA Gallery I created contains about 40 water and grass jars, large and small.

3. Product development

Amano began his career as a professional cyclist at the age of 19 in 1974. He got a wife at the age of 26 and entered another stage of his life. However, except for cyclists, the study of aquatic plants is not smooth.

Small fish can put it into a glass bottle at will, in any case, hope to plant aquatic plants better!

Although the bottom bed and filtration system have been improved and achieved success, they have also hit a brick wall in research, and almost spent the money to buy a house during this period.

Amano recorded the reasons for his failure one by one, which he learned from his mother, who used to write down in detail the failures, difficulties, and results of farming. Over time, he learned a lot about farming. Hedge neighbors came to her for advice.

Aquatic plants withered had to be abandoned, no matter how to try always stagnant, very depressed, really thought of giving up! I am a stubborn person who refuses to give up. I began to study aquatic plants in middle school, but I really wanted to give up at that time! Amano said seriously.

It turns out that at that time, what made Tianye still want to give up planting aquatic plants was "Co2". Co2 dissolves into the water, produces photosynthesis with plants, and makes aquatic plants grow luxuriantly. It is this problem that bothers him.

When I went to ask university professors and medical professionals about adding diacidified carbon to the water, what I got was, "forcibly adding Co2 into the water will only destroy the ecology, so don't be delusional!" I don't know how many times I ate these cold treats, and I didn't know how to add Co2 to the water. I was really upset at that time! Amano Shang said.

At that time, I often went to the bar with my friends for entertainment. I often drank highball (whisky and soda). One day, I occasionally saw that the ingredients printed on the soda were water and diacidified carbon. As soon as I touched the spirit, could I put this into the grass jar? So he immediately bought all the six cans of soda left in the bar and rushed home.

Amano continued: when I poured all the soda water into the water plant tank, for a while, the half-immortal leaves of the water plants slowly came out of a bubble, and I was so happy that I almost burst into tears! This is the photosynthesis that has been bothering me! At that moment, the water plants I saw in the gauntlet water of my hometown in my childhood were swaying, and the flickering bubbles reappeared in my mind.

Starting from the next day, I ran all over the bars near my house and bought all their soda water and injected it into the water plant tank. After a period of time, the growth of water plants miraculously improved and thrived! Amano said excitedly.

Based on this important discovery, Amano successfully developed compressed Co2 diacidified carbon in 1987, which was specially designed for the breeding of aquatic plants, and the price was 7500 yen at that time.

Maybe it was the world's first small Co2 diacidizing carbon device specially developed for aquatic plants, which solved this problem. Amano immediately made a number of aquatic plant landscaping vats to simulate the layout of the Amazon River, adding streamwood and rock to match. Ambitious to open a water plant landscape shop, intend to become a professional cyclist, while to study water plant landscape.

But this is not a smooth road. Co2 diacidizing carbon devices can only sell 10 sets in more than a month after opening the store. Other burdens in the family seem to be not light in housing contributions. The good times are not very good. At this time, the illegal trading of tropical fish has been investigated, which is really a house leak and rain every night.

4. Get out of a predicament

After several painstaking efforts to develop the Co2 diacidizing carbon device, no one is interested in it. I don't know how many times I thought about it when Amano was still frustrated, it would be better to quit my professional bike, pay off the retirement payment in full, and take care of my aquarium supplies store wholeheartedly. Forget it! However, he never gave up and was always resentful. As a result, in 1990, he really quit the ranks of professional cyclists and received a retirement payment of about 10 million yen, but Amano did not use the retirement payment to repay the housing debt, but put all his eggs in one basket. To buy a large negative large camera.

Amano Shang personally operated the knife to show people his unique understanding of ecological waterscape and the products he developed to show the most luxuriant side of aquatic plants! All this is not from the bottom of the river, but from the aquatic plants planted in the aquarium! Amano still named the work Nature Aquarium.

Amano said confidently.

However, I knew nothing about lens optics or camera operation, so I went to the old book stall in Kanda District of Tokyo and finally bought a total of seven cases of books on photography and camera operation, which I read every night. At first, it was like reading Arabic, confused, but after a week, I finally got a rough understanding. Half a year later, I had almost mastered it, and a year later, I could even teach others! Amano continued.

In 1992, Amano published all his waterscape photos in an aquarium magazine "Nature in the Nature Aquarium World Aquarium", which was translated into different languages and distributed to Britain, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Italy.

The content of this magazine shocked aquarium lovers all over the world, and everyone was amazed at the beautiful and luxuriant aquatic plants planted by Amano Shang! At the same time, Amano also seized the opportunity to sell his Co2 diacidizing carbon plant again. As a result, this product, which had only sold 10 sets in China in a month, received an order of 10,000 sets in just one month. Amano Shang succeeded!

At that time, Amano made another major discovery in the cultivation of aquatic plants. That is, Amano Shang went out to dive to take pictures of stone bream spawning underwater, and after careful observation, we found that the red part of the diving suit he was wearing at that time looked black, but the turquoise part remained the same. Amano suddenly figured it out! It turns out that the red spectrum will be absorbed by water and cannot penetrate to the bottom.

Amano Shang said: at that time, the light tubes cultivated by plants on the market were generally purplish red. I think the light tubes used by aquatic plants must have a turquoise spectrum! So I boldly wrote to Panasonic (Panasonic), a famous electrical appliance manufacturer at that time, hoping to cooperate with them to produce special fluorescent tubes for aquatic plants. The reply I got was that they were very interested and hoped to meet and discuss in detail.

In a project called "International Cosmic Station" at that time, Panasonic successfully developed a special light tube with excellent effect on plant breeding, which attracted much attention, so their representatives, together with a dozen professional research team, came to my dilapidated and dilapidated home.

What they showed me was the newly developed fuchsia spectral light tube, but I repeatedly stressed that "the purplish red spectral light tube can not be used in aquatic plants, it must be turquoise spectrum!" The argument almost pissed them off! Amano said proudly.

In spite of this, they are still happy to cooperate with me. After many failures and efforts, they finally worked together to develop a special NA fluorescent tube for aquatic plants. "NA" means Nature Aquarium. This kind of special fluorescent tubes for aquatic plants are very popular after they are launched, and of course Panasonic's products are printed on the packaging of the products.

5. One of the Amazon River fights predators.

He first set foot on the Amazon in South America in 1994, when Amano was just 40 years old, and Amano recognized him as a "40-year-old trainee." the Amazon is 19 times larger than Japan and is endless.

It is almost impossible to film the whole Amazon in a lifetime, only to aim at the most mysterious side of her. I have my eye on the Amazon The Rio Negro, and I am probably the most familiar person in the world, because I have been in this river for nearly ten years! Amano Shang said.

In 1999, Amano ran to the Amazon with a large camera, which extends from northern Brazil and belongs to one of the tributaries of the Amazon. Amano hired local natives to form a logging team to take a deep picture of the mysterious Nigel River.

We take the underwater ecology as the center, and there are all kinds of colorful wild fish in the water, all the same color as the original. Crocodiles are also encountered here from time to time. When walking in the river, one will step on them at any time and be careful to sneak into the bottom of the river to shoot. Many of the local Indian natives were bitten off half their legs by crocodiles in the river, so there are a lot of disabled people! Amano said seriously.

Amano recalls that during many trips to the Amazon, we fought with the big crocodile more than once. The first time we met the crocodile, the local Indian tour guide, suddenly handed me the harpoon and said, "are you brave enough to stab it?" The fear I felt at that moment was unprecedented, as if I had been forced on the road to death! In fact, the native Indian may have said it at that time, but did not think that I would really stab the crocodile! But I just sat on the log and stabbed it down!

Amano continued: this stab in the head of the crocodile, it was frightened and swung wildly! Several of us were surprised at the woodcutting, and the faces of the Indian tour guides turned iron-blue, because if we turned the lumbering, we would all become a snack for crocodiles! After fifteen minutes of struggle, the crocodile finally gave in and drifted away from us, and the local Indians rewarded me with respect and admiration.

In order to get permission for food and shooting, I had to exchange items with the local Indian natives; because I couldn't communicate with each other, I almost became a sacrifice to the chief! Amano stretched out his tongue and said.

The items I exchanged with them were T-shirts, some stomach medicine and cold medicine. They were very happy and gave us water, sweet potatoes and other food.

But in one of the villages, when I was exchanging food with them in front of the altar, a group of Indian natives ran around me. At first I thought it was some kind of welcome ceremony, but they all had long grasses and long forks in their hands and suddenly made a commotion! Angry, but also pointed the Mao head at me! I was surprised and thought it would be bad if I was too timid, so I said to them confidently: all men are brothers in the four seas, so there is something to say!

They continued to argue with them in Japanese and body language, and they didn't know if they understood what I meant. But at last the children smiled with other women. I knew they softened, so I took the opportunity to shake hands with them one by one, and finally shook hands with the chief, who stared at me blankly. I immediately waved goodbye to them and slowly turned away without looking back to the entrance of the village. when I was far away from their village, I ran to the woodcutting place where I was waiting for me. I was scared out of my wits!

When communicating with the Indian natives of the Amazon, you must not offend their chiefs, or disaster will come. At the beginning, I was mistaken about their leader, exchanged goods with the lower aborigines and nearly died and became their sacrifice! During the period here, similar incidents occurred more than once, so in the Amazon, poisonous snakes and crocodiles are scary, but the most terrible are actually human beings! Amano sighed.
