Method of accelerating sprouting of ginger
Ginger is generally treated with sprouting before sowing, which is an important link in ginger production. The quality of sprouting is related to the budding rate and affects the growth in the later stage. So how to sprout ginger? Let's follow the editor to take a look at the budding technology of ginger.
1. Break the seed
Choose to dig up the stored ginger in the sunny weather in early spring, break the seeds in a clean environment, and break the large and small pieces of ginger into seed blocks of the same size, with the best weight of 50-70 grams. When breaking seeds, you can have one bud or two buds, generally sowing 400-500kg per mu.
2. Seed drying
After breaking the seed, it is drying the seed, which is to use the sun to kill the germs attached to the ginger, which can promote germination and disease control, and is a process that must be experienced to promote germination. When drying the seeds, choose sunny weather, put the broken seeds on the cloth or Reed mat to dry the seeds, and be careful not to put them directly on the cement floor, otherwise the high temperature will damage the seeds and lead to germination failure. When drying the seeds to spread out thin, it is best to spread a layer, but also often turn, so that it is heated evenly, continuous drying for a week.
3. Accelerating budding
The methods of accelerating germination are different in different areas. the common methods are indoor germination, hot Kang germination and Yang bed budding, which are invented by the working people according to the local climate and environment.
Indoor sprouting method: build a rectangular sprouting pool indoors, up to 80cm, depending on the long and short-sighted planting scale, spread a layer of dried wheat on the pool floor, and cover it with a layer of papyrus or straw. After drying, put the seeds flat while hot, stack 50cm, then spread a layer of straw or wheat straw on the seeds, cover the quilt for heat preservation and moisturizing, keep the temperature between 20-25 degrees, about 20 days before sowing.
Hot Kang sprouting method: there are two kinds of hot Kang above ground and semi-underground, the ground is built, and the underground is excavated, the specific shape is similar to the indoor sprouting pool. Similarly, the wheat paste after an exposure to the bottom of the pool can be properly sprinkled to keep moist, and then put the ginger layer upon layer, and plug it around with a layer of straw or wheat paste, seal the top with clay, and also control the temperature and humidity.
Yang bed sprouting method: dig a 15 meters wide and 0.6 meters deep, depending on the length of ginger, spread a layer of wheat or straw at the bottom and put the ginger in it, stack 30cm thick, then cover it with straw, and then build an arch to cover the plastic film. In order to avoid low temperature at night, it can be covered with straw in the evening to keep the temperature, and the germination can be successful in about 1 month.
