Different people have different views on mustard, because mustard has a unique taste. Our two most common kinds of mustard are green mustard and yellow mustard, which can reduce blood pressure and blood lipids to a certain extent, and play a role in preventing heart disease. At present, there is not much mustard cultivation in our country, mainly in the southwest of our country. So today let's take a look at how to grow mustard and how to grow mustard.

1. Land selection and preparation

Mustard is usually planted at higher elevations, so it is best to choose a mountain with a certain slope, followed by a fall and can be planted by woods or shrubs, because the growth of mustard has certain requirements for light. Like light but can not have direct sunlight, so woodland is the best choice to grow mustard, and then choose sandy soil and more rainfall The woodland with strong surface water storage capacity should be planted. When preparing the soil, turn the soil deeply, at least about 35 centimeters, clear the weeds in the field, and then make ridges according to the distance just one meter apart, which is good for drainage, and then sprinkle enough base fertilizer to wait for sowing.

2. Sowing seeds at the right time

Mustard transplanting in China can generally be planted in two seasons, namely, in March and April in spring and in September and October in autumn, when the temperature, light, and rainfall are more in line with the growth needs of mustard. At this time, the mustard planted is more convenient to manage, and the yield and quality are much higher than at other times. There are two ways of planting, namely direct seeding and transplanting. Direct seeding is mainly carried out according to the distance of 20 centimeters per row and 15 centimeters per plant, and then cover the seeds with soil to wait for seedlings to emerge, while transplanting requires the mustard seedlings to be cultivated first. when the seedlings are about 15 centimeters, you can transplant.

3. Field management

Water management and fertilization management are the most important for the field management of mustard, followed by weeding and moss cutting. once watering is needed after seed planting, usually if there is no rain a week after planting, it is necessary to carry out secondary watering, and the first fertilization is carried out when the seedlings grow back to 15 centimeters after planting, mainly nitrogen fertilizer and potash fertilizer, about 50 jin per mu. When the mustard grows to about 25 centimeters, the second fertilization should be carried out. This time, the amount of fertilization should be enough, about 100 jin per mu, and part of the leaves of the mustard should be harvested. Finally, when the mustard grows to a certain extent, it will be fertilized with an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer, and it will be able to be harvested for another 10 days and a half months. Each fertilization should be carried out together with ploughing, which can enhance the resistance of the plant and facilitate the full absorption of nutrients.

4. Pest control

The most common diseases of mustard are downy mildew and white rust. These two diseases mainly harm the stems and leaves of mustard and have a considerable impact on the yield and quality of mustard. Of course, we mainly focus on prevention of these diseases. However, after the outbreak of the disease, we can use Dysen zinc wettable powder plus new high fat film 800 times liquid, chlorothalonil wettable powder to control.
