The sprouting asked here should be leaf buds, that is to say, how to make orchids send more new leaves. Good photographer teaches you three methods, which are simple, effective and cost-free.

The new seedling of orchid is a kind of vegetative growth, which generally occurs in the spring after flowering, of course, there are autumn buds, generally in order not to affect flowering and orchid seedlings can smoothly become strong grass, I do not recommend raising autumn buds.

The key to new shoots of orchids is plant material, and only with the right plant material can orchids get twice the result with half the effort. Plant material is required to conserve water and fertilizer without stagnant water. there are special articles and videos on how to prepare plant material. Now we are talking about three effective methods.

First, block the nutrition chain between the old seedling and the new seedling. If the old orchid seedling does not give it a little stimulation, it will be inert and will only absorb nutrients without sprouting. Once the nutrient chain is blocked, it will stimulate its survival and reproduction instincts and will actively send out new seedlings. The practice is to twist the Reed head between the old seedling and the strong grass constantly. It doesn't matter if you twist it hard, as long as you keep opening it.

Second, seedling division, seedling division can also stimulate the reproduction and growth of orchid plants. Good farmers divided a pot of 12-seedling orchids into eight pots this year, with only single seedlings at the least. However, when the seedlings were born in spring, there were at least two or more seedlings in each pot, and three new strong seedlings were born in one pot. Finally, these 12 seedlings of old grass issued a total of 18 new seedlings, with a seedling rate of 150%, which is absolutely impossible if the seedlings are not divided.

Third, when the orchid is planted in the pot, raise the orchid plant a few centimeters upward so that the Reed head of the orchid is slightly higher than the edge of the pot. In this way, the Reed head can accept more sunshine and fresh air, it is easier to grow seedlings, and the seedlings are strong.

The above are the three methods I have introduced. Interested orchid friends can try it. Baili is a good one. If you have any other questions, please feel free to leave a message in the comments area.
