Planting method of Juncus chinensis
Juncus it is mainly used for clearing heat and diuresis and treatment of lymph, hemostasis, nephritis, edema and other diseases, while it has a certain effect on diabetes, mastitis, cystitis and insomnia and children's night cry disease, it grows in the environment is biased towards warmer areas, while mainly growing in rivers, streams, ditches, swamps and other wet areas, so today we mainly learn the planting method of Juncus.
1. Land selection and preparation
Juncus it is a kind of hygrophilous plant, but the humidity of the planting ground should not be too large, otherwise it will affect the normal growth of Juncus, so we have to choose a plot with sufficient water garden but perfect drainage system for planting. Before planting, we need to plow the field, plow the land, and then evenly spread enough organic manure as base fertilizer, and finally deepen the water level in the farmland to about 10 cm, you can wait for planting.
2. Breeding methods
There are two main propagation methods of Juncus, namely seed propagation and sub-stump propagation. Seed propagation is usually carried out by direct seeding, sowing in the field at a distance of 30 cm per row, while sub-propagation is carried out by dividing the old roots of rush grass, and then planting rush grass according to the transplanting mode, each plant must have at least eight to ten old roots, so that the yield of planting rush grass will be higher.
3. Reasonable close planting
In order to improve the yield and quality of rush grass, we should carry out reasonable dense planting of rush grass planted in the field, among which the way of sub-propagation is usually planted according to the distance of 40 cm per row and 30 cm per plant, while the seed propagation method only pays attention to the row spacing when sowing, so after the emergence of rush grass, we should carry out thinning and supplementary seedlings according to a certain distance to ensure the uniformity of seedlings in the field and the reasonable density of rush grass.
4. Field management
If it is seed reproduction, we need to carry out weeding when the rush grows to about 10 cm, and combine fertilization at the same time, so as to promote the growth of rush, but also to achieve the maximum utilization effect of fertilizer. And if it is sub-stub reproduction, it is necessary to wait for the rush to issue new branches and leaves after weeding and fertilization. Juncus basically only needs to be weeded and fertilized twice a year, and it is also necessary to carry out reasonable fertilization according to the specific growth situation of Juncus.
5. Scientific harvest
Juncus usually needs to be harvested in autumn every year. The standard for harvesting is to slowly turn the tip of the stem of the rush into yellow for harvesting. The second is to harvest the rush from the position close to the water surface. Finally, the cut rush needs to be dried, and then the rushes and skins are separated and bundled into a small handful for sale.
