Of course, the best transplanting season is from Frosts Descent to Qingming Festival every year, when the sap stops flowing in the trunks of wisteria and it is not easy to transplant rigid seedlings.
The wisteria in the picture was moved by me from the mountain during the Spring Festival in 2016 (the eighth day of the first lunar month). It is about 15 centimeters in diameter. Wild wisteria can grow very long. I cut it into 3 societies high when I intercepted it, because there is a 3-meter-high shelf in my yard. In this way, when planted, the old vine can come out of the shelf. Wisteria wild pile main root is not strong, many lateral roots. And the wisteria root is relatively tough, so you must take a good saw when digging, otherwise it is difficult to cut off the lateral root with a hoe. The saw blade intercepted by the old pile is covered with plastic bags after transplanting to prevent excessive soaking in water and decay.
It didn't blossom in the spring of 2016, but sprouted a lot of new buds, and then the new vines wound around the shelf and spread out.
When the leaves fell after autumn, I applied some ternary compound fertilizer to it to survive the winter. In the spring of 2017, wisteria blossoms a lot, and wisteria blossoms without leaves, so what I see is purple, which is very beautiful.
It is not difficult for wisteria to survive after transplanting. Mastering the season can make it return to flower more quickly.
