Ginger is a common condiment in life. It is planted all over our country. In addition to its flavoring effect, it is a good medicine for treating diseases. It has the functions of stopping vomiting, expelling wind and cold, strengthening spleen and stomach, etc. It can be used to soak feet to remove beriberi. As the market demand expands, its planting area is gradually increasing, so how should ginger be planted? Let's take a look at this technology.

1. Land selection and fertilization

Ginger is a continuous cropping crop, so it should be rotated reasonably when planting. The soil with deep soil layer, loose and fertile soil and rich organic matter should be selected for planting. The terrain of the field should be slightly higher and irrigation should be convenient. It can be rotated with rice, cross family and leguminous crops. During soil preparation, sufficient base fertilizer is applied to ensure vigorous growth of ginger and improve yield. 2500-3000kg decomposed organic fertilizer or farm manure is applied per mu together with 50kg compound fertilizer as base fertilizer, which is evenly scattered on soil, and is mixed evenly with soil by deep ploughing.

2. Seed selection and germination

Choose plump, good appearance color, fresh, hard texture, no disease, and 1-2 strong. Germinated ginger pieces do seed, ginger pieces weight in 50-70 grams best. Before sowing, the western medicine is disinfected and germinated, so that the germination rate can be passed, and the seedlings are neat. First, 50% carbendazim 500 times solution is soaked and disinfected. After disinfection, it is placed in the sun for 1-2 days in sunny weather. When the surface is bright, it can be stacked for germination. It is stacked together and covered with straw to keep the temperature between 20 and 25 degrees. Pay attention to the humidity. When the ginger bud is about 1 cm, it can be sown.

3. Sowing

The best sowing time is around Qingming Festival, and the drilling method is adopted when sowing. The row spacing is controlled at 40×30cm, the ditch depth is 10-20cm, and the seed is generally 400-500kg per mu. Apply proper amount of fertilizer as seed fertilizer during sowing to make it sprout quickly. Apply fertilizer evenly into ditch and mix well with soil. Pouring water once before sowing to keep the soil moist, then placing the ginger pieces flat in the ditch, with the buds upward, pressing them into the soil, covering a layer of 5cm fine soil, and raking the soil after sowing.

4. Scientific fertilization and watering

After applying seed fertilizer, ginger germination period is not topdressing, when germination of 1-2 branches, seedlings grow to 20-30cm, then timely topdressing, these generally apply ammonium sulfate 15-20kg per mu. The second topdressing is in the tuber expansion period of ginger, when a large amount of nutrients are needed to grow and expand, at this time, 75kg cake fertilizer and 50kg compound fertilizer are applied per mu, which can be combined with soil cultivation. Watering should adhere to the principle of less irrigation and frequent irrigation, keep soil moisture within 70%, in summer high temperature, soil moisture evaporation is large, timely watering to maintain moisture, watering time is best chosen in the morning or evening, avoid high temperature period at noon. In the rainy season, it is best to drain and prevent waterlogging. In autumn, ginger grows rapidly and needs a lot of water, so it is generally watered at least once a week to make the soil moisture content 75%-80%.
